Re: WhatIfSports Draft, Round 9 - under 6 feet, Rob's pick
Ok, we're still waiting for @gainesvillejjstalker and @Max to make their picks.
Funny, one guy wants to steal everyone else's picks and the other doesn't want to make any picks.

I can't let you change your pick. Someone earlier tried to do that, and I didn't let them either. I have to stay consistent.gainesvillejjstalker wrote:I'm changing my pick to P.J. Brown 04-05.

UNDER 6-feet... oh. That narrows it just a bit... I think.
I initially did a search of 6 feet and under. The first two names I can think of that miss the cut are Tim Hardaway and Mark Price. Both are off the board now.
[Note: Is my dream of a Nash/Price backcourt now dead?]

Bogues, Spud Webb, Boykins, Nate Robinson, and Speedy Claxton are all available though.AbeVigodaLive wrote:UNDER 6-feet... oh. That narrows it just a bit... I think.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

I have a high pick, and there is a mega-scorer on the table (Calvin Murphy), but I am not interested in him at all.
If anyone is interested in doing a trade involving my pick, let me know.
Otherwise, I got three choices to evaluate when I get home tonight (I wish I could study whatifsports at work).

Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

I would also be willing to swap 9th and 10th round picks with Ghost.

Is Calvin Murphy the worst rebounder in NBA history?
2.5 rebounds per 36 minutes. He averaged 1.1 rebounds one season.
[Note: He averaged more kids per season than rebounds.]

Under 6 feet makes a HUGE difference.
There are 6 or 7 guys who were listed exactly at 6'0" who are better than almost all of the guys in this category. Good luck whoever gets stuck with Charlie Chriss or Mike Wilks.

Would sure make more sense to include 6' and under, rather than just under.AbeVigodaLive wrote:Under 6 feet makes a HUGE difference.

Edit: Especially since most guys are probably like Clevetown and are "6'0", when in reality they are more 5'10"-5'11".

Boom. My theory that there are only about 7 guys in the world that say they're 6 feet... and are actually 6 feet.
- 6 foot guys claim to be 6'1"
- 5'11" guys claim to be 6 feet.
[Note: Since I'm one of those 7 guys, it's a pet peeve of mine. Obviously.]

You're so stupid. That would make you 8'2".
No way.
Re: WhatIfSports Draft, Round 9 - under 6 feet, Rob's pick
I once read an article about a 6 foot guard (maybe it was J. Nelson?), who in responding to someone's criticism that he was only 6 feet tall in shoes said "don't you play the fucking game in shoes?"
For some reason I found that hilarious, and as a guy in that gray area, appreciate it.
