I'll go with Pippen. There are a couple of guys I'm kind of indifferent to in this spot. But Pippen is definitely worthy.
Re: 2014 Anger General Geatest of All Time: #26 selection
Boy, I don't really like Pippen or Isiah in this spot.
I would vote for Ewing or Stockton but I don't want to waste my vote. I'll hold off on voting until we get closer to the end of this round.

To this day, I'm hard pressed to think of any player who could so effortlessly leap 30 plus inches. Young Thompson had pogo sticks for legs.Da Stars. wrote:David Thompson.

Elvin Hayes should be coming up here soon as well, and he's not even nominated.
Re: 2014 Anger General Geatest of All Time: #26 selection
I think in the future if we do something like this, it might make more sense to have each person vote for three players in a rank, and do some sort of weighting.
1. 1 point
2. .5 points
3. .25 points
Or something like that. It is definitely possible given the small sample size here for a player to gain the most first place votes, but be ranked absolutely behind another player (for example, a person with three 2nd place votes is probably better than someone gaining 1 first place vote and no other votes from the other two guys).
Not to mention the quasi-troll factor some people get on here.

Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

I'm surprised that Isiah is getting so much support. Given that I *just* missed those Bad Boys teams, but didn't they win on the basis of dominant defense? Or was there offensive balance as well? If not, shouldn't we be apportioning most of the credit to Rodman, Dumars, Mahorn, etc.?

Those Pistons teams were just great teams. It wasn't like the 2004 team that used a big run built around stifling defense to win a title.
The Pistons were building toward a big run at titles. Defense was a big part of it, but they were #6 and #7 in offensive efficiency on offense their first two years in the Finals.

How do you nominate guys? Time to start seeing Elvin Hayes and Big Game James at least on the list, imo.
