Havlicek.

When do nominations open up?

Because I see Isiah on the list. And even McHale. But no Stockton or Cousy?

Starting this round. I failed to mention that in the OP so you can definitely nominate a player this round.

The thing about Havlicek... he was simply consistently good to great.

As the first top-notch 6th man... and as THE guy. He won as both. And he's one of the few guys in that era who didn't have inflated stats during the ABA/NBA split. His Per 36 numbers stayed pretty even.

And Havlicek could play defense. He was 1st team all defense at the tail end of his career when they fist starting awarding it... he Shirley would have earned a few more earlier in his career.

It's time for Cousy to be considered.

Hondo.

Like I said before...sort of a poor man's Kobe Bryant IMO.

IIRC his lung capacity was freakishly large, which was credited for his insane cardio and endurance.

:D

Edit: I'll throw Sam Jones into the mix. I have a bad feeling I am forgetting someone obvious though.

At this point, there are just so many that could be #21, but could also drop to #29!!!

For me, it's between J.Havlicek and S.Pippen.

But........who to choose..........? Unlike all the young people on here who make it their mission to disrespect anyone they never saw play, I like to give credit where credit is due. J.H. deserves SERIOUS consideration for this spot!

:L .............this is difficult!!! but.......I vote.......................

John Havlicek

His resume is just too Great. He won as a support player, AND as the #1 Man. That is what separates him from Pippen, if only slightly.

Actually in retrospect, I should have looked at Sam Jones's career numbers a bit more. They are somewhat more modest than I had guessed or remembered.

I'll switch my nomination to Stockton.
