I applaud the fan for standing his ground vs. Smart
This kind of thuggery cannot be tolerated, and commissioner Silver needs to make an example out of Smart by ruling him ineligible for the draft.
Re: I applaud the fan for standing his ground vs. Smart
He should have stood his ground Zimmerman style.
Re: I applaud the fan for standing his ground vs. Smart

Not sure Silver has that capability-since it was a college level issue.kobeunderbite wrote:This kind of thuggery cannot be tolerated, and commissioner Silver needs to make an example out of Smart by ruling him ineligible for the draft.
Plus-that would be way too harsh a punishment.

So he heard Smart, a guy trying to get the national media off his back and salvage his draft prospects, CLAIM that the fan called him the N-word? That's your proof?zombiesonics wrote:"Radio analyst John Holcomb confirms what he said on air: He heard Marcus Smart say the fan called him the n-word."Incognito wrote:Any proof?zombiesonics wrote: The man called Smart a racial epithet. All that says is that the guy heard Smart say that is what the guy said. He could well be lying to justify his actions.zombiesonics wrote:"Radio analyst John Holcomb confirms what he said on air: He heard Marcus Smart say the fan called him the n-word."Incognito wrote:Any proof?zombiesonics wrote: The man called Smart a racial epithet. You're gonna have to try again. There is still no link showing that he said it.zombiesonics wrote:Texas Tech fan Jeff Orr's text about the Marcus Smart incident, "Yeah i kinda let my mouth say something i shouldn't have. The NBA cannot make rulings that are outside their jurisdiction-- The NCAA or the college are the only ones that have that ability.kobeunderbite wrote:He does, and it wouldn't be.sportswise1 wrote:Not sure Silver has that capability-since it was a college level issue.kobeunderbite wrote:This kind of thuggery cannot be tolerated, and commissioner Silver needs to make an example out of Smart by ruling him ineligible for the draft.

Plus--nobody think he should be banned from the draft--and it obviously won't happen

Wouldn't the NBA have jurisdiction over the NBA draft?sportswise1 wrote:The NBA cannot make rulings that are outside their jurisdiction-- The NCAA or the college are the only ones that have that ability.kobeunderbite wrote:He does, and it wouldn't be.sportswise1 wrote:
