Thing is finding out the last post doesn't explain anything. it doesn't have anything to do with killing a thread.
Sportswise was the Original Billy Buzzkill to any thread, but now that we don't have ESPN filters all the sensitive vaginas appear in just about any thread that mentions their fave player.

Sadly some of our longest threads have been 15 pages of posters calling each other bitches and I know you are but what am I type responses. Once it starts getting personal I lose interest.
I can tolerate name calling if there is at least some relevance of basketball in there.
But like I said our longest threads have been personal attacks so I'm obviously in the minority.

I realized that long ago. At first i started to avoid those kinds of threads because it hough they were stupid. Now i find them funny and engage in that sort of banter myself occasionally.

That's what i signed up for. Don't get me wrong i would much rather have serious b-ball discussion here, but it doesn't hurt to engage in that stuff every now and then.
