But you said "a pet that isn't a cat or a dog".
I was saying that maybe I needed a real dog that is loyal and makes me love him instead of the little prissy rat that I currently own and posted a picture of above.
Oh.

You want to trade straight up? I'll give you my little, yippy white fluff and you give me your hipster boxer.

Ever since I saw an Ocelot, I wanted one as a pet.

It's basically the perfect animal.
Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

How many pounds is it?
When I met the gal pal, she had one of these... not totally terrible.

No. But, I have a plan. The Boxer doesn't really dig other dogs... or digs them too much. (I can't tell. I just know she goes apeshit when other dogs even walk in front of the house and she scratches up all the wood on the windows and bench.)

I do know that she will pounce on your little 10-pound gimmick dog, probably killing it, Lenny-style from Of Mice and Men. Boom. You get a new hearty dog and get rid of the little bitch dog.

Done. When the wife gets upset, I'll sing her the Circle of Life from Lion King. I'll force law to euthanize your dog and we'll both be happier.

Good job protecting your dog stars, only you know the situation and Im sure you did the right thing. To the people saying no one should own pitbulls, should akitas, dachshunds, dobermans, chow chows, chihuahuas also die out because they average more attacks on other pets/humans then pits do. Just because they have the power and reputation to be the mean killing machines doesnt mean they all are. Just as is the same with a child, it all depends on the environment they are raised in.

As far as those suggesting Stars is "fibbing", he's been here one helluva long time and can anyone ever recollect any BS even once? I didn't think so, so he more than gets the benefit of the doubt.

I think Lookaway and Max need a reality check.
Ok, I'll bite (pun intended). Let's hear this reality check

I don't know. Don't really care. I like my pets but they are pets to me.
I've owned a lot of dogs over the years, and it always sucks when you lose one. Biggest problem with dogs is they don't live long enough.
Especially when your neighbors kill them, amiright?

Get well Macey. Just so we are clear, was that from the dog bite or you accidentally stabbing her?

The problem is the pitbulls strength. They are stronger pound for pound than the other breeds so that is why they can be more dangerous. That and they have a stubbornness that other dogs don't possess

I agree that part of the problem is their strength and appearance, but my rottie's head is just as big and scary as most pits and it easily weighs more then Karl little purse dog. Its a classic case of nurture vs. nature, and in almost all cases, nurturing is a bigger factor

He has a Schnauzer, it isn't that little, unless it is a mini Schnauzer then it is almost a purse dog

This hits the key point. While it may be true WailuaFC that more chihuahuas attack people than pit bulls, the consequences of those attacks are generally de minimus. Pit bull attacks because of their incredible jaw strength and 'dogged' determination are often devastating.
