Are you bleeding? Is Macey bleeding? Excited dogs jump. Are you gonna kill Mini Pinschers and chihuahuas too?
Yes I was bleeding my left arm. Dog came at me from a block away.
This is not relevant. Dogs want to know one another. Pitbulls are usually people friendly but unsocialised are too scary to be left off leash

I was a dog park and saw a terrier attack a boxer (younger than the two I have) and it was vicious. He was going after the boxer's neck and the boxer somehow clamped the terriers mouth shut - it was awful and I never went back.

Hope you guys are okay. Didn't read the thread but don't listen to any people trying to give you a hard time.
Thanks. It sucked.

When I lived in Glassell Park a coyote was jumping into yards and grabbing small dogs. He/she eventually was chased down by a pair of pitbulls. Usually Coyote's attract dogs and lead them out to a bigger pack to kill the chasing dog. It was cool to get good press for the breed for a change
this is the fault of the owners who leave food and small pets outside to attract the coyote.
Coyote is just being what it is.
I happen to love Coyotes but I am not assigning fault to someone who leaves their dog in their yard. Below is a picture of a Coyote laying on my former neighbors drive way. My dogs wanted to go talk to her

lol @ Stars breathing into a paper bag in here!

Relax, just ignore these pussies calling you out. You slit the throat of a pitbull, no big loss. Those dogs are fucking disgusting.

was he supposed to let it put poor macie's head it it's mouth first?
So you killed a dog for being excited? I think perhaps your fear is what caused the issue. That and your douche bag neighbor not having his dog on a leash. A lot of people are afraid of dogs, even when they own dogs. It's more his fault that his dog died than yours, but you too are responsible
Have you read any of the posts or are you just spouting your liberal Obama loving agenda? The dog has attacked others, needed to be tasered in the past to be controlled and attacked stars and Macy and caused injury. The mutt was more than "excited"

What kind of knife was it?

I'm a big fan of the Ka-Bar fighting knife.

Nope. JUst bought it. I warned him the other day I would kill it if it attacked Macie. I did.
Geez stars just get rid of the dog to an owner without another dog. You didnt have to slaughter it and go grizz wild style on it

One, I don't love Obama and I am offended by that.
Two, I have doubts that the dog needed to be tasered by it's owner
Three, neither of us were there, yet you know with certainty the dog was NOT excited

So you planned on killing his dog because you were afraid of it?

I'll take stars word for it. He obviously felt threaten and this dog has had past incidents. Stars cut up, bleeding arm is enough to justify his actions. Regardless, for anyone that has been around dogs regularly it's pretty damn easy to distinguish if they are running at you to cause harm or because they want to get their heads patted.

If someone is running at you with a knife are you going to take the "wait and see" approach? Hey maybe they just want to cut the loose fabric off your shirt.

That explains why foreigners don't want to learn English. The 2nd rate teachers are the ones who go to the 3rd world to "teach" them

I can say that not all pits are vicious, though. A pit started running toward
me on the morning before my daughter's birthday party a few months ago and i was terrified. Turns out she was very sweet and friendly, did as I told and just kept running alongside of me. I know that dogs can be unpredictable, so I never let my guard down. Ran her to the guard gate, where they politely told me to GTFO - asked them to send an e-mail to homeowners. Ran with her around the neighborhood and got her water until it was time for me to go.

Called a friend that does dog rescues and she said I had to let her loose - just leave her. If I called animal control, she would've been put to sleep. Still scary though, to have her running towards me. And she at no time jumped and I never put my hands on her to try to pet her. She was so well-behaved but you never know...
