I've been saying that for awhile. That's why it's never made sense when people say "Well the Lakers can afford it!" in defense of that contract. It doesn't matter if the team can afford it or not. It really ties their hands from a cap perspective.

When did we say we'd be good next season?

IMO we aren't winning the title for two years.

Because, on average, they make the finals every 2 years and win the finals every 4 years.
