Re: LNS, what are your thoughts on this?
I don’t think anything about it. Mike looked good in literal 4-5 second clips against pads... and even then he didn’t look all that great IMO. In an actual boxing match you gotta worry about your opponent countering you, or moving away from your pressure.
TBH it was “rigged” in the sense that if Jake was as big of a shit head as we all think he’d have absolutely killed Mike in there. But instead he went easy on him once he realized Mike was toast, and let him see the final bell.

Look at that clip and THEN tell me with a straight face that "that guy" lost 100% of his legs after just 30 seconds.
Impossible... unless the fight was rigged OR Tyson was injured. It's pretty clear the answer is the latter.

Zombie, go to any gym and watch ordinary guys, albeit guys who like to train and know the fundamentals, hit the heavy bag and speed bag. That will answer your question. Most of them look "great".

I think the slap at the weigh-in and the theatrics that followed were probably staged, but that boxing fight was legitimate.
Tyson is 58 years old and looked every bit of it on Friday.
The second he started walking by himself towards the ring he looked like he was feeling the moment.
I went from being hype to watch Mike fight again to feeling pity that he may get hurt after seeing his face during that entrance.

he looked way more fluid against roy jones just three years ago
Re: LNS, what are your thoughts on this?
He probably did and that’s just the difference from 54 to 58 years old. Mike was talking about how his back was fucked up back in 2003 lol… that shit doesn’t get better in your 50s, especially with boxing.Alex_Murphy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 2:00 pm he looked way more fluid against roy jones just three years ago

Mike doesn't even look that great in the clip.

At no time during the fight did Tyson exhibit anything even remotely close to the speed, quickness, agility and power that he showcased in that clip (and in dozens of others like it)... not even for one split second.Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 12:08 pmZombie, go to any gym and watch ordinary guys, albeit guys who like to train and know the fundamentals, hit the heavy bag and speed bag. That suggests either a) the clips are fake "or" b) Tyson was injured.
There is NO other explanation.
Dude was injured. Take a walk.

Actually there is: there’s a massive difference between a boxing match and hitting the pads. Did you expect Mike to just go out there swinging wildly or some shit? Jesus… tell me you’ve never boxed without telling me you’ve never boxed lolthedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 4:27 pmAt no time during the fight did Tyson exhibit anything even remotely close to the speed, quickness, agility and power that he showcased in that clip (and in dozens of others like it)... not even for one split second.Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 12:08 pmZombie, go to any gym and watch ordinary guys, albeit guys who like to train and know the fundamentals, hit the heavy bag and speed bag. Why didn't we see any video of Mike sparring? That should have raised red flags.LNS wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 5:13 pmActually there is: there’s a massive difference between a boxing match and hitting the pads. Judging a fighter by how he hits pads is like judging a basketball player by how well he shoots in an empty gym, or how a baseball player hits in batting practice, etc...

Reminds me of the movie Ali where Bundini Brown watched Foreman hit the heavy bag and was legitimately shook by it and reported back to Ali. Ali asked him if it moved.Bush4Ever. wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 5:33 pm Judging a fighter by how he hits pads is like judging a basketball player by how well he shoots in an empty gym, or how a baseball player hits in batting practice, etc...

Looks like the fight was rigged, after all... rigged or a Tyson knee injury... or both. Either way it's clear Tyson was holding back:

"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

Riiiiggghht… there’s the smoking gun.
So tough guy Tyson agreed to rig a fight? But I thought he was different?
Retard boomer

It's all of YOUR generation calling the fight rigged, you fool... and weren't you convinced the 2020 election was legit, only to realize years later how badly you were duped? You don't still believe in Santa, do you?
Wake up already, for real.

Didn’t realize that this fight is on Tyson’s pro record. I thought it was an exhibition. Either way that shit was a disgrace. I expect this from MMA, not boxing.
