Joker is a great Offensive talent in today's super-fast Paced era where it's never been easier to Score, no question...

He would WALK ALL OVER any center in the 80's/90's. They wouldn't know what to do with him.

Oh please...

:L

Remember... it's sooooooooooo much easier to execute Offensively when there's no Defense played against you. Hell, even your hero LeFraud compared today's Modern Era to the All-Star game (meaning there's little effort to even try and stop the opposing player/team from Scoring... and no one knows this better than LeFraud, who hasn't played Defense in a decade).

Joker would be a prime Vlade Divac or Arvydas Sabonis if he played under the rules/style of the game as it existed in the 80's - 00's.

Imagine Dikembe having to come out and guard someone 25 feet from the basket. Immediately neutralizing ANY impact he has on the interior.

It would be a joke. He would break the 90's.

He wouldn't be 25 feet from the basket in the 90's because the style and rules of the game back then would not allow for it.

But WTH... imagine Joker playing 25 feet from the basket while the rest of the NBA Centers are playing in/around the paint. Joker's opponents would be Scoring at a 70% clip inside, while he's on the perimeter MISSING 3-pointers at a 65% clip:

Ten (10) 3PTFGA @ 35% = 10.5 PPG
Ten (10) FGA @ 70% = 14 PPG

I'll take that trade-off ANY day of the week from my Center... and so would any astute hoops fan.

Was this your idea of bball analysis? :laugh3:

How are NBA players of the 90s scoring at 70% clip against Jokic? Wait… are you saying he’d hangout at the 3pt line while on defense?????

I like how in TDK's universe, every center is getting every shot 0-3 feet from the basket at the same volume/rate as Joker is getting his shots.

Reminds me of the Vern Mueller argument wayyyyy back in the ESPN days where he argued Carlos Boozer (IIRC) would score as much as Kobe if he took as many shots, and cited a shots x FG percentage as his argument.

He also argued Bynum would score 60 a night shooting as much as kobe.

Because Joker is a terrible defender...

In fact, the best Centers of the 90's would probably Score at an 80% clip against him in the paint.

C'mon... a soft, non-athletic white dude going up against Dream, Robinson, Ewing, Shaq, etc in the paint!?!?!

It would ba a massacre of epic proportions.

Every single thing you have said in this post and thread is complete gibberish. You have zero ability to analyze hoops. He would absolutely own any prior era of hoops more than he currently owns this one. He's an absolute unicorn who's skill set the 90s centers would have had no answer for at all. The list of guys in history who could have contained him somewhat over an extended period is ridiculously short. The mix of ability to pass, shoot, shoot from distance, score in the post, put it on the deck and crazy high b-ball IQ has never been seen before.

You're embarrassing yourself, as usual.

Grizz thinks Joker is stopping Shaq, Dream, Robinson, Mourning, Ewing, etc. in the paint... can you say, completely delusional??!!

Jokic is a good help defender. He’s a shitty shot blocker and doesn’t have great lateral movement… so I agree elite bigs in the 80s/90s would get their numbers against him. Elite bigs today get their numbers against him.

But on offense there’s very little you can do against him. He’s an elite three level scorer and the GOAT passing big man.

Thanks for confirming my point... and guess what: In the 80's-00's he would be FORCED to defend other Centers in / around the paint because that's how the game was played.

In other words he'd get chewed up and spit out.

In fact, he'd be such a DEFENSIVE liability during that Era he might not even be a starter.

That’s what you took from that? If anything defending would be easier for him because he wouldn’t have to chase bigs to the 3pt line.

Your last line is some Artman autism shit. Be better.

More nonsense from the village idiot. He's not Hakeem defensively but he sure as hell isn't the liability you suggest. That is fucking nonsense. And he would chew up and spit out virtually every 90s centers on the other end. Shaq and Deke defending Jokic at the elbow on a screen and roll or outside the arc would be comedy. Hakeem could limit the damage better because he had more lateral mobility, but Jokic would still put up monster numbers.
