Not sure why you're shilling for a greedy corporation like Nintendo who is living off the same old boring IP's for decades now. They are trying to destroy their own history by waging war on emulation, which is the best way to preserve gaming history as eventually all their proprietary hardware will die off. I'm sure their new alarm clock (lol) will have some way to spy on people to see if their emulating Nintendo games and sue them. They are already targeting channels that emulate decades old Nintendo consoles, stuff they don't even profit from and games they didnt even develop. I haven't bought anything from Nintendo since GBA and won't ever support them again. Fuck Nintendo.

They're only aggressively targeting current-gen emulation which I respect. It will always be easy to emulate games from 10+ years ago. And if it wasn't for Nintendo, there wouldn't be nearly as many games worth pirating. I'm shilling Brothership because it looks like it will be another insanely fun Mario RPG, simple as. Refusing to support them is cutting off your nose to spite your face. I'm happy to pay them for new releases because their new stuff is fantastic.

Absolutely incorrect, do your research. They are targeting any channels showing emulated games, including old systems. They are setting a horrible precedent for game preservation, one of the most egregious things a video game company can do.

Secondly, me not supporting them doesn't affect me whatsoever, I have an excellent library of games for the PS4 and PS5 and don't have to worry about atrocious graphics and framerates like the switch has. I stopped caring about Nintendo ips after the super Nintendo so I'm not missing out on anything I care about.

I said aggressively. It's virtually impossible for them to hold down emulation from the Wii-era and earlier. And you not supporting them is a terrible decision, Playstation's library is pure dogshit compared to Nintendo over the last generation.

Not impossible but they can make it tough on people to obtain those games, and you're naive if you think an immensely greedy company like Nintendo will stop there, they seek to destroy the concept of game preservation so they can resell you the games on a subscription platform that they control what you play down the road.

I completely disagree about the PlayStation library, I mostly play JRPG's and Indies, not only does the PlayStation 4/5 have an abundant amount of excellent titles but they run waaaay better than the weak switch is capable of. Nintendo is nothing more than a gimmick company at this point that is technologically behind the times, hoping to continue cashing in on people's nostalgia for the games they grew up on.

If Nintendo's library is so great, why has it not given me a reason to want to buy one? And I actually know what games are out for it, seeing as I follow video games closer than most people.

Again, your a Nintendo fanboy and I get that bc I use to be, but I will not support a company that is actively trying to destroy history, and stifle a community that makes gaming a more fun, creative hobby by stomping out modders and hackers that make games sometimes better than the original devs in some cases, and ill refer you to the recently released demo of Super Mario and the Rainbow Stars, which looks to be a better Mario game than Nintendo has put out in years, Nintendo will probably end up shutting it down even though romhacking isn't illegal. They're a shit company.

If you're just a visuals monkey looking for you next title to max out your PC specs for, sure I could understand resenting Nintendo. But it's actually the only company left still innovating gameplay and its disregard for 'power' is what has steered it to the head of the pack as the most profitable, healthy and celebrated console by far with the Switch. There are virtually no games for the PS5. Nintendo did more with its last Direct on a dying console in Echoes of Wisdom and Brothership than Sony has done with the entire PS5 life cycle thus far lol. And I'm playing Echoes of Wisdom now and it's amazing and not only extremely innovative in terms of Zelda gameplay but in terms of the story and canon as well.

Stop being such a bitch crying over spilled milk with emulation. A 5-year old could figure out how to easily emulate the entire catalog of Nintendo history through the Wii. It's not complicated and Nintendo can't stop it. If they want to buy out Switch emulation that's not some oppressive move.

Btw the only game people like for the PS5 in Astro Bot is basically a Nintendo gameplay clone lol. Ouch

We can go back and forth all day arguing about individual games but it's useless since you're a Nintendo slappy that eats up everything they do.

I'm 100% more than okay with not owning or buying anything Nintendo puts out ever again, I'm completely content with my PS5, the incredible library of RPGs and Indies I have, full backwards compatibility with the entire PS4 library and ability to play some PS1/PS2 games as well. The point you made about 'visuals' is a strawman, I'm more of a framerate kind of guy, and PS5 blows the FUCK out of the switch when it comes to performance, the fact that the games have superior graphical fidelity is icing on the cake.

Supporting a company that is trying to destroy people's lives for things that aren't necessarily illegal (ie emulation, yes even the switch emulators are NOT illegal nor is romhacking) is beyond despicable and I will never support a company that is setting those kinds of precedents, being complicit in that further destroys the industry that's already having alot of problems due to the infiltratation of woke culture.

If you're not going to address my points in good faith then just say hey I love Nintendo and I don't care that they're acting like assholes and I'll support them anyway and move on, that's at least an honest take. I will not be supporting them going forward as I haven't been for the last 3 console generations and do not miss them one bit.
