Donald Trump was rushed to safety while golfing after gunshots were fired in the former president’s vicinity in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Trump was unharmed in the incident, Steven Cheung, a spokesman for his 2024 campaign said.

It was not immediately clear whether the Republican presidential candidate was a target in the incident.

“President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity,” Mr Cheung said.

Anthony Guglielmi, the chief spokesman for the Secret Service, said the shooting occurred shortly before 2 pm local time on Sunday.
