What you're seeing here is public polling catching up to what was referenced in the internal polling mentioned in the OP.

From what I understand pretty similar but public polling places call random phone numbers while internal polling call registered voters so they know who they're calling and if they're lying. Supposedly it can take more time for trends to reflect in public polls.
