Larry Bird curbstomped Jordone every time he played him. It doesn’t matter if he was skilled or not.

W for the BWGC.
And Jordan stomped the fuck out the SuperFaggots to the point they no longer exists as a franchise.

Anyone with a Stathead Pro account that can see the whole Game Logs section to see the Win/Losses? I can only see the first 10 entries.
I was moreso shit posting about the 96 finals but according to statmuse it’s 19-6 all time for reg season.

He has a point, but he just carries it to a ridiculous level. The skill level of your average SG, SF and even PF was well below what it is today when taken in totality. If you don't see that, you are willfully blind. Yes, you had guys like Drexler and others that could thrive in any era since, but you also had a bunch of guys who started that could not make an NBA team today, or if they did, would only see garbage time.

Yes, the Celtics without Bird in 1990/1991 were significantly inferior to the Bulls without Jordan in 1990/1991.

The main reason for the gaps you see above is that Bird > Jordan, not teammates > teammates. Bird's advantage over Jordan helped close the gap to some degree.

That was proven in 1989 (BETTER versions of those teammates won 42 games in the regular season with no Bird), and 1994 (57 wins without Jordan with the same basic core and coach).

You could set a reasonable expectation of the 1994 Bulls making the Finals but losing, although the Pacers/Knicks/Bulls were all tightly clustered.

The 1989 Celtics were barely above .500, and got swept in the first round.

Those would have been some great Bulls vs Celtics matchups in 90 and 91 playoffs. Unfortunately Larry Legend wasn’t up for the challenge and bowed out early.

Not really.

The Bulls were basically .500 against the Celtics at their best and the Celtics old, crippled, and at their worst.

Yes, regular season always matter when it’s playoff time. The Jazz’s 3-1 record against the Bulls from 97-98 showcases that.

It does when the primary players on one side basically made their bones by repeatedly emasculating the other side's primary star in the playoffs six times in a row (as opposed to being innate choke artist regular season heroes).

Like I said, would have been good series. It’s just a shame that Larry Legend with 55 win teams and multiple AS couldn’t get past the 1st or 2nd round.

Don't be a troll, Titan.

It's bad form and disrupts the harmony of what is a pretty cool collection of very stable individuals on this board.

Big boomer brain stuff there. lmao
Because 3 pointer are the only real measure of skill

Jfc.

If it was as big as it is now then they would have adjusted and shot just as well or better than now. Not hard to comprehend
The fact that you didn't understand Bush's point and hyper-focused on the specific example he gave is not surprising to anyone here.
I didn't bother with his point.
You not realizing that is no surprise to anyone.

The point is that the game is the game is the game, dummy. It's not like the actual nature of reality changes watching something on tape vs. real-time.

That's why coaches utilize game tapes FROM THE PAST for scouting and planning purposes.

They don't watch games from dozens of teams per night in REAL TIME.

I think "games they actually won" is a better metric of how good a team is, personally. lol

Parish didn't even make a friggin' all-star team in SEVEN years playing without Bird, and neither did Mchale (11 PPG average without Bird).

Pippen was 3rd (I think) in the MVP vote his first season without Jordan.

Horace Grant literally played in more all-star games without Jordan than Parish and Mchale did COMBINED without Bird.

lmao!
