The city contracted some Mexicans to come clear the brush around the retention pond behind our house before they could come in and finish it. We slipped them $40 under the table to clear the brush going down a steep hill to the woods behind our house.

They had a big remote controlled mower they were using. I looked it up and it started at $40k or something

I saw one on Amazon for 699 but it’s probably shit. I found another for 3k that may be useful, I might order it.

My new neighbor has a mower exactly like that (or close). It seems absolutely tremendous when I see him working with it.

I was mowing last week, and he casually dropped the n-word in conversation. I think he saw my face because he went on a discourse about the difference between Black people and n-words, and how he knows many White n-words, and that "he's sorry, but my daughter's BF is a n-word".

I'm like damn dude, you have to finesse that a little bit.

My neighbor on the other side is a county Black dude too. Solid guy by the way (I can tell by his handshake and speaking tone/cadence).

I understand the hatred itself. Basically the "got my fat heifer daughter hooked on drugs and she steals from me to pay for them" story.

But it was a nice reminder I was back home. I didn't experience that out East, except a little bit with Italians in NJ, but that's largely because Italians are the Black people of White people.
