Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Magic Johnson and Mike Tyson mainly if we’re talking about as a kid. Then later Kobe & Shaq in high school… prob Evander Holyfield for boxing. Even back then I didn’t like low scoring sports like baseball, soccer, hockey... so I didn’t fanboy over any of those athletes.

It doesn't fit the criteria so I couldn't use him, but definitely one of my all time favorites. The man had some serious swagger and could stop the puck.

I believe Hasek is the best goalie I have ever witnessed. I have Roy second. I tend to be in the camp that Brodeur was overrated. He was great, but he almost always played behind really great teams. He stole far fewer games than Hasek or Roy.

Rickey Henderson and Randall Cunningham were my two favorite players.

Locally, it was Steve Yzerman, Isiah Thomas, Alan Trammell and Barry Sanders.

My language now. I do not agree. Roy had some great talent in Colorado.

Roy won two Stanley Cups in Montreal, one of which was behind a very mediocre team that would have had no hope without him. The other Cup team in Montreal was good, but not exactly a steam roller either. He willed that 1993 team to the Cup.

I was young at the time but I've looked into it since.

Hasek is the best ever IMHO.

I agree. At the end of the day, there's no style points. Just stop the freaking puck. And he could stop the freaking puck better than anyone else.
