Does anyone here own a pitbull?
Does anyone here own a pitbull?
Such a trash breed. Usually owned by retards who claim “hurrr durrr iT wouLdN’T HuRt a FLy” right before it snaps and mauls someone’s kid. England has the right idea IMO… ban these nasty ghetto animals.

I think it's more the environment...just like with humans. If you have pit bull raised in a middle/upper class neighborhood everything seems to work out. If you have a pit raised in shit neighborhood, there's a better chance things go south with it.
Re: Does anyone here own a pitbull?
Lol didn’t you stab one a while back? God they’re such trash. Can’t stand even looking at them. I’m 100% for a full blown cull of all pitbulls. My fav line is “iT’s NoT tHE DoG it’S thE oWNeR!”
No… it’s the psycho ass dog that was bred for fighting and aggression.

Sure I guess… but why chance it? If elected President my first act will be to make owning one a felony.manchild98 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 10:15 pm I think it's more the environment...just like with humans. I was of the mindset that the owner is the asshole if the pitbull snaps, and that is still usually the case.
However, incidents do occur where the owner does everything within their power to train the dog well and the dog sometimes still does something bad.
Ultimately, if a Chihuahua snaps it may result in some minor cuts requiring stitches; if a pitbull snaps people may die.
I get the logic behind the ban.

Re: Does anyone here own a pitbull?
That's kind of the test I would give someone. There are tons of great pit bulls BUT...let's say you have a 2 year old child and you are told you will have to leave your kid alone in a room with a dog for 5 minutes. You are told both dogs are extremely well behaved, well trained and fantastic with kids. One room has a labrador retriever and the other room has a pit bull. Which room are you putting your kid in?PhutureDynasty wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 11:10 pm I was of the mindset that the owner is the asshole if the pitbull snaps, and that is still usually the case.

I have a female Pitbull / American Bully mix and she is a big baby. In fact, the only danger a stranger is in around her is being licked to death. I also have a Pitbull Mastiff... he's an even bigger baby. Of course if they feel I'm being threatened then all bets are off, but that's the case with any dog I would imagine.

Most people don't even realize but Most insurance companies literally void the liability of a homeowners insurance policy if someone owns a pit bull, Akita, chow, or Doberman. Willful ignorance will cost people millions once their dog snaps.

Beautiful dog
Re: Does anyone here own a pitbull?
Bill is definitely the angry fake tough guy type that would own a pitbull.

Pitbulls, Pugs, and Basset Hounds all need to be eliminated. Gods mistakes

I can't speak for anyone (or any other dogs) but me/mine, and when I tell you she's a giant creampuff there is no embellishment.ElJorge wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 7:57 amThis ^^^ sounds like every pit owner I swear…thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 11:26 pm I have a female Pitbull / American Bully mix and she is a big baby. Now our Pitbull Mastiff can be / has been very aggressive toward certain other male dogs outside the pack at home, but around strangers at the house he has not ever shown one shred of aggression. In fact it's the exact opposite, to the point where my financ, er, my significant oth, um, my domestic partner (lolol) and I have both raised concerned to each other numeous times that we sure as hell hope these dogs will guard the house and defend us IF we ever need them to because they are both EMBARRASSINGLY friendly around complete strangers.
That said, certain people should not own certain dogs AND yes, certain dogs are more prone to aggression due to their bloodline and/or their owners, and/or by how much (or how little) human/other dog exposure and interaction they receive as puppies (VERY important).
Put another way... just like not all people grow up to be clueless simpletons like artman, not all Pitbulls are vicious and aggressive toward people.

Re: Does anyone here own a pitbull?
Yea that’s fair enough… they just leave a bad taste in my mouth but people are gonna own them regardless. They remind me of keeping a loaded gun in the house that could go off at any minute. I get that in a lot of cases they’re well behaved and seem calm, but they lead the pack (no pun intended) in dog bites AND fatal dog attacks by a sizable margin. But if you’re happy with your pits then more power to youthedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 10:49 amI can't speak for anyone (or any other dogs) but me/mine, and when I tell you she's a giant creampuff there is no embellishment.ElJorge wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 7:57 amThis ^^^ sounds like every pit owner I swear…thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 11:26 pm I have a female Pitbull / American Bully mix and she is a big baby. Re: Does anyone here own a pitbull?
I’d agree about the last two. All squish faced dogs suck, but especially snoring, farting pugs.
Pits are generally great dogs, if raised right from puppy hood.
Most of the attacks come from stupid owners, or from people who adopt them from shelters as adults after bad habits have been set.
