What the fuck does this bozo do anyway?
Spo should have been the head coach and Kerr an assistant.
Is Steve Kerr one of the most overrated coaches ever?

He fooled us into thinking he’s a great coach because of Mark Jackson’s criminal incompetence.
He just ran a modern version of the triangle offense with more 3s, which works when you’ve got GOAT shooters all over the floor. Now literally every team can do what the 2015 Warriors did event better, and he’s getting exposed AF.

It will never be seen this way because of winning bias, but a great coach is the one who produces the highest ratio of winning to usable talent.
Turning out A+ winning with A+ talent is....good (what else can you do beyond winning a title?). But not exactly the strongest test. Ditto with absolutely miserable rosters like the Pistons in the opposite direction.
Usually, the best tests are with teams that have 30th to 70th percentile talent or thereabouts. That's when a real value can emerge and not be snuffed by bad talent or rendered moot by overwhelming talent.
For example, all joking on Artman aside, I think the Magic this past year were actually very well-coached.
IMO

No, he isn't. Yes, he's mostly had great horses, but a lot of jockeys ride great horses without winning much.
The 2022 ring more than validates the rest of his coaching career.
