Intense hatred and prejudice often stems from underlying personal issues like feelings of inadequacy and lack of fulfilment. Projecting these negative emotions onto a scapegoated group, like Jews, offers these hateful people a way to cope with their own unhappiness and lack of control in their lives. But this cycle of negativity only perpetuates their own unhappiness.

Not bad Riley, mostly correct. However you'll have to reconcile the fact that you would typically label Trump a "far right whack job," and yet, he is objectively the most pro-Israel and pro-Jew President in history.

Both the far right and far left have their bad apples but there is no question whatsoever that Israel hatred is far more prevalent on the left than the right. It's not even remotely close. It would be an understatement to call that element of your post a false equivalence. The democratic party is *littered* with Israel hating senators, congressmen and governors (to say nothing of small time, local leftwing politicians). On the right any criticism of Israel is almost always cast under the umbrella of American isolationism, a blanket belief that America should not involve itself in foreign conflicts, as opposed to a belief that Israel is necessarily wrong. This is, by the way, in stark contrast to Ukraine which faces far more opposition on the right in terms of support for funding that particular war.
I am not talking about Trump himself…The reality is Trump the RINO you always accuse me of being. He has conducted his personal life as a liberal…
But, many in his base qualify…the MGT’s , the growing Nick Fuentes crowd etc…
The only reason it is “more prevalent” on the left is because they just yell louder…

What are you talking about dude? MTG was clapping like a seal at Netanyahu's speech are you confused or something?

Image

Nick Fuentes has fking 300,000 followers on Twitter, you think that gay mexican has any influence lol?

There are not "many" Republicans who qualify for being anti-Israel. They are almost impossible to find. Even Massie is just a hardcore isolationist for the most part.

That bill was awful and not a barometer for whether someone is pro-Israel at all. It literally legislates that the definition of antisemitism is whatever the "Holocaust Remembrance Alliance" says it is. It sets such a retardedly bad precedent that I resent more the people for it rather than against it. Byron Donalds and Matt Gaetz voted against it and both are massively pro-Israel, as is MTG who has voted consistently to fund Iron Dome missiles for Israel.

It's obvious that what happened here is you popped some form of "MTG antisemitic" into Google and found that story thinking it would save you without understanding the context of it at all. And if MTG and her resolutely pro-Israel record is the best you can produce in terms of Republicans who are anti-Israel, MTG who literally got off her fat ass to participate in the countless standing ovations for Bibi Netanyahu just the other week, that really says it all.

Riley is really pretending true-blue anti-Israel belief is equal on both sides?

The Catboy's fanbase is a drop in the ocean, and about the furthest even somewhat-mainstream position on the right is "look out for America, don't be obsessively pro-Israel and focus on America".

The left has meaningful subpopulations and politicians of note that overtly hate Jews and Israel.

Respectfully, you are extremely confused or trying to do a very convoluted troll job.

You might want to just let this one fade off page 1, with respect.

Why would I ? The far left and the far right both hate Israel, albeit for different reasons. No amount of misdirection of goal post moving changes that.

I never claimed that Tucker loves Israel or Jews lol. But since we're on the subject, let's take a look at a recent exchange he had,

Tucker:
What's the trip like? Do you know?

[00:30:34]
It's, I think, vacationy. You go see the wall, you go see the sites, things like that.

Tucker:
It's such a great... I must say, it's such a great country. Jerusalem, especially. It's just such a wonderful place that's got to have a big effect.

[00:30:51]
You go swim in the Dead Sea. Yeah, I've done that.

Tucker:
Not on an APAC trip, but I would recommend it to anyone.

[00:30:57]
Are you sure it wasn't an APAC trip?

Tucker:
I paid for I'm not doing it myself. No, it's just funny.I am a legit lover of Israel, of the place Israel. I like the people, and I love the food, and the whole thing is so great.

[00:31:09]
But that's distinct from the government of Israel, which is just a foreign government. My sense is the people are very entrepreneurial. Yeah, totally. That they're publicly minded, they care about their country, that they're generally good people, right?

Tucker:
That's certainly been my experience in trips there for sure. It's great. I think it's probably one of my favorite, maybe my all-time favorite place to go with my family. But that's just a completely different thing from taking orders from its government. Right.

I think Tucker takes his American isolationist approach too far, it's not realistic in my view to avoid any and all foreign entanglement and there is a direct benefit to partnering with the the enemies (Israel) of America's enemies (Iran). And jihadist regimes should be destroyed. But I respect his right to his view and subsequently his belief that America should not be 'as' deeply in bed with Israel as it seems. With that being said, Tucker has definitely fallen down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole pretty far and was even openly implying that October 7th was an inside job. But again I never claimed that Tucker was a Jew or Israel-lover.

The point is that virtually no one of note in conservative politics is anti-Israel or especially pro-Hamas or Palestine. No conservative is wearing a watermelon shirt or keffiyeh or marching for Gazans (other than atty, if we can even call him a conservative). There is not 1/50th the anti-Israel or antisemitic sentiment on the right as there is on the left, and you would have to be unbelievably out of touch to believe otherwise.

Nobody ever said the whacked out right was pro Hamas, or pro Israel do do head…

But only a stoop would ignore the fact that the far right is increasingly anti Israel…

I gave you the opportunity. You still haven't named anyone. Zombies and Atty have been openly anti-Semitic and anti-Israel for their entire posting careers.

You can't name a single prominent conservative politician or pundit who is openly anti-Israel, all you have are the ones who are just in favor of non-interventionism like Tucker, these Ron Paul-types.

The only person you named in conservative politics is literally a Zionist:

I see that you are trying to steer this toward just the politicians, but you and I both know it is more than that.
Sure, losers like MGT, despite her hatred of the Jews, is simply a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

How is what I posted misdirection? I am addressing your "points," if you can even call them that, as directly as possible.

You realize those two links are the same editorial but syndicated in two places? And that it's the same stuff about the antisemitism bill and isolationism? Did you even read it, where does it suggest that the far right is becoming increasingly anti-Israel?

If the far right is turning on Israel, why can't you name anyone of note on the far right who has turned on Israel? Again, the only person you named is a staunch Zionist. It's not even like this isn't measurable:
On the whole, The Wall Street Journal report that 42% of Americans sympathize more with Israelis than Palestinians, but these numbers vary significantly between parties. Only 2% of Republicans sympathize more with Palestinians in the conflict, while 69% of Republicans sympathize more with Israelis.

On the other hand, Pew Research data shows nearly half of Democrats are likely to say they sympathize with both groups equally, but are more likely to sympathize with Palestinians than Israelis, 24% to 17%, respectively.
In late May, the Pew Research Center reported again on support for Israel in the United States and once again found a significant partisan gap.

The report, which can be read here, states that “Republicans are far more likely than Democrats to view the Israeli people favorably and the Palestinian people unfavorably (44% vs. 12%).” Pew also found that “Republicans and those who lean to the GOP are much more likely to express a favorable view of the Israeli people (78%) than of the Palestinian people (37%). Among Democrats and Democratic leaners, on the other hand, similar shares express favorable views toward both groups (60% and 64%, respectively).”

So Trump and his sycophants on the far right are openly supporting Israel, voting to fund Israeli air defense, selling weapons to Israel, passing legislation which favors Israel, brokering normalization arrangements and peace deals on Israel's behalf, granting Bibi Netanyahu a record breaking number of standing ovations as he addresses congress, running on a pro-Israel/Jew platform, but really, they increasingly hate Israel in a way that is not measurable and so covert that no prominent Israel-detractors have been identified and everyone in all opinion polls is lying about their beliefs?

Wow, that's fascinating. Thanks for the scoop Riley :suds:
