The worst part about that trailer is the music.

What made them think a Kanye West and Jay-Z song fits a movie that is set in the classical Roman Empire? I like that song a lot, it just doesn't fit.

I will still watch this because I like the cast and I loved the first movie, but this looks like it could be mid.

Looks good and the plot which I just read seems decent but I fear that with it having to go up against the original will cause great disappointment.

we do need more roman and ancient egypt movies. There are all kinds of true stories from those beautiful eras of human civilization. But not if we're just gonna race swap and modernize everything. It should be authentic.

Artman's ancestors were living in caves, eating bugs, throwing feces at each other, and should be depicted as such. Animals. Not sure you can include that in todays political climate.
