Taking a flier at #55 on a guy who maybe should've gone undrafted isn't a risky gamble. Not like they were gonna find the next Kobe there. Not many lower 2nd round picks last long anyway, if at all, so give the kid a shot. He was good enough to get a D1 scholarship. This is also testament to LeBron's work ethic at such a ridiculous age.

A McDonald’s all american who was considered a first round talent before having a heart attack and playing alongside a top 5 prospect (at the time) seems like a pretty good swing at pick 55. Getting Jevon Carter/jose Alvarado with + athleticism and wingspan there is a steal
