Does anyone actually still care about Star Wars and watch the Acolyte?

Talk about anything here.

If you had told me in 2005 there would be a day where I was not only totally devoid of passion for Star Wars, but that I would also harbor a dislike of it, I would have told you that you were crazy.

Alas, here we are.

I just finished the first season of Rings of Power and it was OK. C to C+.

The writing and character development were really mid. Plus that "twist" was as predictable as you could imagine.

I'll still watch season 2 though because ultimately I enjoy LOTR-themed content.

I watched the first episode.

Is the goal to completely burn it to the ground? Serious question.

I watched Ashoka and didn’t think it was terrible. I’m not sure how long I’ll last with Acolyte.

I gave up on Ashoka. I just didn’t find it interesting.
I’m OK with the Acolyte, although their need to push for non traditional characters makes it unrealistic. Not that Star Wars is realistic.

Rings of Power I wanted to like, but also found the storytelling lacking.

Women ruined Star Wars. A sad reality that all need to grasp.
When a woman is in subjection to traditionalism, she prospers, when she is given autonomy from traditionalism to do as she pleases, she destroys.

I haven't read much of Tolkien's work (I intend on it soon) but Rings of Power allegedly isn't faithful to canon. I don't even mean with the diversity in the casting. I mean in terms of the actual story of how things happened; so not only is the storytelling mediocre but it isn't even true to his work.

It's still not an awful show like others seem to think, but I understand the gripes about it being disingenuous to the source material.

It seems like the loss of revenue and destruction of the brand reputation has shocked Marvel into changing its ways and how has that not happened with Star Wars yet? Star Wars is worse than ever.

I try to watch the X Men 97 but I think I’m just too old for it now. If I had a son I’d watch the heck out of it but watching it alone just feels weird.

My son is too young for it so I'm lacking the motivation to watch it. He loves Mario but I try not to get him too exposed to superhero violence at this point.

Empire
New Hope
ROTS
Thrawn Trilogy
Vong Books (on average)
Rogue
ROTJ
Battlefront 2 (video game)
Clone War Animated Series
Awakens
Clones
Menace
Rise
Last

That's my official and likely to be final ranking out of all the SW media I've consumed in my life (out of media that can be reasonable chunked into groups...I've read other books that are one-offs or not a series though.
