The Bulls beat two (2) higher seeded teams during their historic 1993 Playoff run; the 60-win Knicks and the 62-win Suns.

Even if you projected the Win totals for Russell's opponents during the years they didn't play 82 games I don't believe he beat two 60 win teams during Boston's entire run, let alone the same year AND let alone two "higher" seeded 60-win teams.

Yet another example of just how much more dominating the Bulls' Dynasty was... in fact, has this ever happened before in NBA history, where a LOWER seed destroyed two (2) 60-win opponents en route to the Championship?

As far as the OP goes, Jordan was surrounded by 65-67 win, and arguably 70 win talent in 1993.

Playing down to 57 wins doesn't give you extra credit for beating teams who were less talented, but maximizing their baseline talent at > 57 games.
