And what are you up in 2024?
Re: How much do you gamble on an annual basis?

Slots, sports books, Stock Market, shuffleboard? Down around 4K for the year. Namely the Markets.

No, I just have a properly functioning brain and gambling does nothing for my dopamine receptors.

I don’t think I’m comfortable answering this question.

Not a huge gambler. I haven't made any financial bets since 1 Eagles parlay early last season that I failed badly on.
Before that I bet a small $50 on Argentina to win the 2022 World Cup at 10/1 odds.
In my lifetime of sports gambling I am actually up because I hit one decent bet and haven't really gambled since.

I'd say I risk between $5,000-$10,000 per year. I win more than I lose....but not often enough to quit my job.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

I choose to not track it. It allows me to continue playing daily guilt free.

Think I'm the only AGer here to somehow lose 100 college football pick em games in a single season, so needless to say not much.

Really not sure. I know I haven't had to make a deposit in at least the last 6 months. Most of my bets are parlays. Bet $5-$25 bucks for a 4-6 team parlay. Bet $10 to try and win $200. Then occasionally throw $50-100 on a single game if I really like it. I mostly bet overs.
I know after the Super Bowl I was up to about $2600 (from mostly NFL and college basketball). That's been my high water mark this year. Air Force basketball had a string of 16 overs out of 18 games. About half the $2600 came from bets on that. Then it got all the way down to my last $100 towards the end of the college basketball regular season...went ice cold and started chasing a bit. Now I'm back up to $1500. I basically make a few parlay bets everyday....on NBA, NHL, college bball, MLB. But it's all just low level funny money.

O/U is by far my favorite bet. I get to root for both teams.manchild98 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 2:50 pm Really not sure. I know I haven't had to make a deposit in at least the last 6 months. If I could gamble online I'd do more but I have to walk through to the back end of a smokey casino to place bets. Probably down 50 bucks on about 300 bet so far. Been dumping money into Bitcoin and a couple alts before the halving of BTC this weekend.

I did hear of this guy that always buys parlays before family gatherings such as Thanksgiving. Gives out 1 ticket to each person then all the sudden everyone is super interested in all the games and cheering lol. Kinda fun.
