Re: Vince & Chauncey elected into the Hall of Fame
February 18, 1998: Traded by the Boston Celtics with Dee Brown, Roy Rogers and John Thomas to the Toronto Raptors for Kenny Anderson, Popeye Jones and Žan Tabak.

Raptors could have had a trio of Camby, Carter, and Damon along with Mr. First round.Bush4Ever. wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 12:12 pm February 18, 1998: Traded by the Boston Celtics with Dee Brown, Roy Rogers and John Thomas to the Toronto Raptors for Kenny Anderson, Popeye Jones and Žan Tabak.

Pretty sure these are considered 00's guys.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

No

You shut your mouth.

Lots of people didn't give Billups a chance. He put up 22 a game in the playoffs for the wolves and they just let him walk.

Re: Vince & Chauncey elected into the Hall of Fame
For a Celtics fan, Chauncey is sort of a double-whammy.
Getting him instead of Duncan in the 1998 draft, and seeing him wildly succeed after trading him for peanuts not even after a full season because Rick Pitino wanted "vet leadership" and help the 1998 Celtics win maybe 41 games instead of 36 and lose in the first round instead of missing the playoffs.
Re: Vince & Chauncey elected into the Hall of Fame
Wow. Celtics could have had Billups and Tmac in that draft but screwed the pooch. Not saying Mercer wasn't bad. Mercer could have been that 3rd scorer behind Pierce and Walker in the early 2000s with around 15-17ppg but oh well.Bush4Ever. wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 12:21 pmFor a Celtics fan, Chauncey is sort of a double-whammy.

Pitino was hell bent on turning Boston into the Kentucky Celtics.

So that's two (2) more HOFERS who played in the GOAT Era for a staggering total of 56 HOFERS who went head-to-head against Mike circa 85-03, with many more who should be in but aren't (yet)... Mark Aguirre, Kevin Johnson, Terry Cummings, Shawn Kemp, Alvin Robertson, etc., etc.

Re: Vince & Chauncey elected into the Hall of Fame
I like how TDK counts Chauncey (started in 1998) and Carter (started in 1999) are counted as "Jordan's era", and then tries to add (mostly) a bunch of good but clearly not-HOFers on the basis of NBA play.
Terry Cummings from 1985 to 1998:
16/7 on 48 percent shooting with two all-star selections
HOF probability per BR: 0.6 percent
Alvin Robertson from 1985 to 1998:
14/5 w/3 steals a game with four all-star selections
HOF probability per BR: 9.4 percent
Mark Aguirre from 1985 to 1998:
19/5 a game on 48 percent shooting with two all-star selections
HOF probability per BR: 8.2 percent
Kevin Johnson from 1985 to 1998 (only playing 729 games):
18/9 on 49 percent shooting with three all-star selections
HOF probability per BR: 19.0 percent
Shawn Kemp from 1985 to 1998:
16/10/1.5 a game on 51 percent shooting with six all-star selections
HOF probability per BR: 38.4 percent
Kemp might be a marginal case, and KJ a HOFer with a less-injured and longer career but damn. lol
