I read a Mariners season preview yesterday and it sounds about right, at 84 wins. Hopeful for more but it's tough when we didn't add a whole lot of hitting. The pitching staff a little banged up too to start the year with Woo now also going to IL. Kirbys new knuckleball looks pretty nasty so far though.

So let me get this straight…In another thread, this kid told us the Braves chances were directly related to Zach Wheeler staying healthy, and if he did, the Braves have no shot.
So Wheeler will be healthy enough to win the Cy Young, but not healthy enough to beat the Braves…

Looks pretty spot on although I don’t see the Rangers being the first team since the 90s Yankees to repeat. However this year seems wide open so I can’t really put my finger on a favorite so I suppose going with the reigning champs is a fair assessment.

Let me just explain the Rangers pick. One factor is the randomness to recent MLB postseasons. The Rangers repeating when everyone expects them to take a victory lap year of mediocrity feels right to me. But on a more tangible level, if Carter and Langford are as good as advertised then they have an absolute bomb squad of a lineup that is importantly very clutch. Finally this pick is contingent on the great one returning as I expect in the second half and giving Texas 2-3 good months. If that doesn't happen they will need to swing another trade for an SP1. But IMO they are as good a pick as any after the tier of LAD/ATL/HOU who all feel too cliched to pick.

So long as it wasn't the Doyers or Cheatstros winning, these seem pretty spot on.

Not my finest work. 5/6 NL playoff teams, 2/6 AL. My biggest screw up was obviously the Yankees, I'm not really sure what I was thinking, why would Soto win MVP in front of Judge only for the Yankees to have an awful season? Pretty dumb. Other than that miss there's nothing egregious, Mariners were good but choked and the Tigers came out of nowhere. Rangers got 20+ starts out of only two guys, they're in if the staff remained even moderately healthy.

Mariners allowed the fewest runs in baseball, Diamondbacks scored the most runs. Neither made the playoffs.
