In those 4 seasons the Heat went 16-9 in the RS and 5-4 in the PO's without Bosh.

Same time frame...Heat went 9-9 without Lebron, and he never missed a PO game.

Just the latest (and greatest) reason why LeBron is the most over-hyped AND over-rated player in NBA history... now even his own (former) teammate agrees!

PS: Wade won a Championship with old-man Shaq and 10 role-players, so there's no question he could have won a Ring with prime Bosh, Ray Allen, and the rest of the 2011-14 supporting casts of the Heat. Plus let's not forget LeFraud was the main reason why the Heat lost to Dallas in 2011, when Wade was clearly the best player on the team during the Finals. Also, it was Bosh and Allen who made it possible for LeFraud to win a second ring... so yeah, Haslem's assessment is spot on even though he's probably just a LeHater who is merely trying to rip on James to protect his own era.

Oooops, wait a second.

LOL....Shaq was 33 the year they won the title, and was 1st team All-NBA (Wade was 2nd team).

Don’t bring stats into this. Haslem is auditioning for that post-career ESPN gig.

2006 Shaq: 20/9/2 (33 years old, fat and slow)
06-10 Bosh: 23/10/3 (21-25 years old, pre Heat)

As noted, if Wade could win a ring that version of Shaq there's no question he could have won with prime Bosh, Ray Allen, and the rest of the Heat's supporting cast.

LeESPN slurps LeFraud 24/7... why would Haslem be working on a gig with them when he's essentially exposing how over-rated your hero is? In other words Haslem's assessment goes completely against LeESPN's agenda.

The truth here, no matter how hard it is for you / other LeTots to admit, is that even LeFraud's own teammates know the man is grossly over-rated, and not even worthy of being in the same sentence as the GOAT Jordan.

What's that got to do with anything? Prime Bosh (pre Heat) put up better numbers than 06 Shaq... that's the ONLY relevant point here.

The #1 option on a dogshit team that never even won a Playoff series put up better numbers than the #2 option on a Finals team?

Some amazing basketball insight going on ITT!

Haslem is a Miami Heat legend... the man just had his number retired, for cryin' out loud. Haslem has forgotten more about basketball (and in particular LeBron James) than anyone on this board will ever know.

Suffice to say his opinion is VERY credible in this instance.

Another pointless point because Bosh as the 3rd option on the Heat put up vitually the same production (19/9/2 and 18/8/2 in 2011 and 2012) as 2006 Shaq put up as a 2nd option.

Eh... typo.

19/8/2 and 18/8/2 in 2011 and 2012 for Bosh, as the 3rd option vs. 20/9/2 for 2006 Shaq as the #2 option.

So?

Wade won a Championships with "that" (way past his prime) Shaq, whose (20/9/2) production in 06 was less than Bosh's 5 year "average" before joining the Heat, and roughly the same as 3rd option Bosh in 2011 and 2012.

Point being Wade had at least as much help around him in 2011 and 2012 (withOut LeBron) as he had around him in 2006.

Good old TDK being a data selective moron once again.

First off, on more than a few occasions, he condemned LeBron for not winning with Shaq, when Shaq truly was old and fat. He was 37 and had zero ability to guard the pick and roll or run the floor anymore, but that never stopped you from suggesting that should have been more than enough for LeBron in 2010.

Then, comparing 2006 Shaq to freaking Chris Bosh. Chris Bosh is a HOFer because LeBron got him two rings. He was a better version of Shareef Abdur Rahim with the Raptors. As pointed out, he made 1 all nba team (2nd team) in his freaking career. Meanwhile, Shaq was one season removed from finishing 2nd to Steve Nash for MVP when many thought he was robbed. I will give Bosh credit though, in that he focused more on defense, rebounding and playing his role well with the Heat so that the team could win. Kudos. Let's also not forget that Shaq was getting his 20 points no 60% from the field. No exactly the same as Bosh. Shaq still always commanded a double team. Bosh, not so much.

2006 in its entirety was a bit of a joke. It was the first year of significant handcheck enforcement and no season before or since has since that level of craziness with the parade to the free throw line wings were receiving. Having said that, Pat Riley was a bit of a genius. He used Shaq to start pretty much every quarter and get the Mavs in foul trouble so that the Heat were in the bonus early and often. But those finals were crazy. Wade went to the line 18x, 25x and 21x in 3 of the 4 wins. It was silliness. And despite those goofy free throw attempts, the Heat only won those 3 games by 1, 2 and 3 points respectively.

The only point Haslem had was that Bosh brought something to the Heat that they absolutely needed. He was the only skilled big that could be counted on and in that sense was irreplaceable. Meanwhile, LeBron and Wade were more interchangeable as both brought similar skills, although LeBron was clearly the better player.

But you could say something similar with the Bulls. There is no way on God's green earth the Bulls win the first 3 peat without Horace Grant and there is no way on God's green earth they win the second 3peat without Dennis Rodman, and that is despite the fact the rest of the league was significantly weakened by expansion. Do the Heat win without Bosh or a reasonably similar big. No. Same with the Bulls. It turns out a few things matter when discussing winning titles, and nuance matters when you don't have an agenda.
