What is your outlook on crow Armstrong?
He’s way too small and gay looking to be a legit mlb hitter. His glove does look as good as advertise though. A league average hitter and perennial gold glover in center is his ceiling, essentially a Kevin Kiermaier. Has value for sure but not a game changer.

But I’m honestly not seeing a league average hitter in him and cubs are full of slapstick “effort guys” as is.

Ideally as his stock is still high being the 12th ranked prospect I’d like to see the cubs package him in a deal to nab a legit power hitter. But I think the front office loves him too much to do that.

Essentially I see him fizzling out like Albert Almora did.

Thanks for the great write up. That makes perfect sense and makes me feel better about the trade. In general I find that teams are too afraid of another team unlocking the potential in their young guys and so they'll hold onto them until there's no value left. I'm hoping Stearns comes as advertised in terms of his ability to be that guy tapping into the potential of other teams failed prospects and arms.
I don’t like judging a prospect over a small amount of PAs in their first call up. Ross also didn’t do him any favors by making it so sporadic.

But what I do want to see at least is some confidence and the ability to take some good rips, even if they don’t translate into hits.

I didn’t see that from him. He looked weak, scared, and out of his element.

And he just looks super fucking gay

Probably, his arm is healthy, lower body injury. But you never know.

Those effers. I would have rather the Doggs did this deal instead of Glasnows deal.

They might use glasnow as a glass Cannon opener or reliever in October anyway

Neither will ever be HOFers.

As a side, check that tone when it comes to my 2nd baseman!

I'm thinking Utley gets in eventually as we now have a hall of mid, as opposed to a hall of fame. Neither deserves it at all in my book.

I'd be surprised but the HOF has allowed in some head-scratchers lately.

Looks like Andruw Jones will get in next year despite nearly falling off the ballot his first 2 years

Makes the process more of a joke. How does someone eventually get in that got such low votes initially. How does he become a HOFer in 2025 when he wasn’t close in 2019? Not like the advance stats the nerds these days love didn’t exist in 2019.

Dodgers sign James Paxton for a year to round out the rotation. Officially blowing past the Cohen Tax line.

HOF becomes more of a joke with every passing year. Anyone remotely borderline gets in other than the roid guys. It's getting closer to the basketball hall of fame in terms of the low standard.

Maybe the Dodgers can save Paxton but more likely it goes the Syndergaard route.

Good off-season for them if they can take advantage of bellingers non existent market.
