Stroman to the Yankees.
They're also apparently looking into Snell.

Yeah they may be the only team willing to shell out the Boras money for Snell.PhutureDynasty wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 9:59 pm Stroman to the Yankees.

Yanks pivoted to Stro since Snells price too high? Lol Boras
Re: MLB Hot Stove: Ohtani signs 10-years $700 million
Looks like Mets and Yanks still in the lead for luxury tax payrolls. NY still the “best” at something
Re: MLB Hot Stove: Ohtani signs 10-years $700 million
Jordan Hicks to Giants. Still no deals for overpriced Boras clients.

I love players who throw tantrums after learning they've been traded to the Mets, call Mets fans racists, lead the BLM contingent of the team, wear Doo rags and gyrate to rap music on the hill, etc

Lol good riddance. Sounds like he will be better suited to the Bronx.kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 12:00 pmOdogg wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 11:21 amYou dont like Stroman?kobeunderbite wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 3:09 am I haven't seriously rooted against the Yankees for some time, unfortunately now that all changes

Mets have another entry in the 10 players who 'just missed,' also acquired at the deadline, so that's 6/110
Not too shabby lol

Cubs have 7 in the top 100.
Will hold my excitement though since they’ve had many top 100 prospects flame out over the years.
Cade Horton will be a bonafide ace doe. He’s the real deal.

What is your outlook on crow Armstrong?
Re: MLB Hot Stove: Ohtani signs 10-years $700 million
He’s way too small and gay looking to be a legit mlb hitter. His glove does look as good as advertise though. A league average hitter and perennial gold glover in center is his ceiling, essentially a Kevin Kiermaier. Has value for sure but not a game changer.
But I’m honestly not seeing a league average hitter in him and cubs are full of slapstick “effort guys” as is.
Ideally as his stock is still high being the 12th ranked prospect I’d like to see the cubs package him in a deal to nab a legit power hitter. But I think the front office loves him too much to do that.
Essentially I see him fizzling out like Albert Almora did.

Thanks for the great write up. That makes perfect sense and makes me feel better about the trade. In general I find that teams are too afraid of another team unlocking the potential in their young guys and so they'll hold onto them until there's no value left. I'm hoping Stearns comes as advertised in terms of his ability to be that guy tapping into the potential of other teams failed prospects and arms.
