Lakers win by one (1) point with YUUGE assist of TWENTY THREE (23) FT's in 4th Quarter!!

I also threw $50 on Argentina to win the World Cup at 10/1 odds right after they won Copa America. They just looked different than the previous Argentina teams plus Emi Martinez was on a mission.
Won a nice $500 plus Messi got the title and cemented his GOAT status.

5 intentional fouls + 1 Flagrant + 1 "obvious" foul = 13 or 14 FTA.
That leaves 3-5 bogus/questionable fouls in favor of the Lakers (9-10 FTA's) in the 4th Quarter of a one (1) point game.
Still smells LeFishy to me.

I was referencing the 2002 WCFs Game 6 conspiracy, which had the same dynamic/numbers.

Really suspect for a team that lives in the paint playing a team playing super small to get five foul calls in a quarter. I think you’re onto something here, the league really should look into itthedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 2:21 pm

You simply can't look at FT totals to determine bias.
You need to track play-by-play.
There's literally no reason why FT totals should be similar, or different, or anything at all.
You can even have FT totals be in favor of one team and still have a bias *against* that team (i.e.--the difference should have actually been greater in a perfectly called game).
That's just a "you got to watch the games" thing, TDK.

It was a meager 13 - 11 FT advantage for the Lakers heading into the 4th Quarter AND if you check out the shot chart you'll see both teams took about the same number of shots in/around the paint.wailuaFC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 2:26 pmReally suspect for a team that lives in the paint playing a team playing super small to get five foul calls in a quarter. 13 vs. 11 through 3... 23 - 2 in the 4th...
Nothing strange about that at all?

Just a fluke.
PS: The Raptors Coach watched the game... that's good enough for me.

Also... the Lakers allow opponents an average of 19+ FT's per game, while Toronto averages 22+ FT per game.
Only 13 yesterday.
<eanwhile the Lakers only average 24 per game on the season... 23 yesterday in the 4th Quarter alone.
Clearly another fluke.

You understand players don't play in the exact same way at the exact same level at all points in a game, right?thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 3:09 pm

Good point: The shot selection chart shows Toronto took a whopping 12 shots in/around the paint during the 4th... so it certainly appears they were playing very aggressive on Offense.Bush4Ever. wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 3:34 pmthedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 3:09 pm

Buuuut... just 2 FTA's.
Yeah, nothing wrong with that picture.
