Wow, with that "53 second" clip (lol) Zombie is rivaling artman for Dumbest Poster of the Year... and FTR those 53 seconds showcased MORE contact and more rim defense than you'll find in an entire year in today's cream-puff NBA.

Jordan shot less than 33 percent on (proven by this video) completely open, premium, uncontested threes.

In the modern era, he's probably shooting in the 10-15 percent range, since he would have to take real threes, challenged threes, off-the-dribble threes, etc...

Those clips are from the Finals moron, not some random regular season game in November.

The defense played here is less physical than a limpdick regular season game in this era.

Weird. According to Boomers, you were allowed to bring tanks onto the court to take out people driving towards the rim. This doesn't seem to look quite that bad.

I'm not sure what the crying over a minute-long video is about, since 95 percent of the evidence for "tough alpha defenses" of the 80s/90s is about 5-10 plays from the Bad Boy Pistons put on a loop.

Nostalgia clouds people's minds and erases a lot of the reality. You remember the few hard fouls that lead to fights and then pretend that it was just a constant parade of guys punching everyone in the face on every foul.

Just picture putting up 2 minutes of LeBron James greatest flops, some barely touched several not touched at all And LeBron fall back. Today's tough NBA where flopping is great offense.

You could put up a much, much longer video of LeBron not getting calls when driving because his size and strength make him capable of working through contact and officials ignore it. Very similar to Shaq back in the day.

Russian AIDS is the worst AIDS to get, IMHO.

That is the first real negative thing I have said about Lebron in a long time. LOL. I am really trying to be objective here, ok to a point.

But you do have point. I don't have to like it. though.

I do find it hilarious when LeCommieLovers try to encapsulate an entire era with a couple random, cherry-picked 1-2 minute clips... and what's even more funny is when said LeCommieLovers actually convince themselves that the NBA today ISN'T cream-puff soft (relative to the 80's-00's) based on those few random 1-2 minute clips.

  :L

I mean, let's be honest... the Cleveland Cavs of the late 80's - early 90's were considered 'soft' for that era YET they were tougher and more physical than the most physical Defense in the league today, and that's because the rules/style in place back then allowed for it to be that way. Plus, back then the league was a "real-man's game", unlike today's "woke" NBA where the players are more interested in polishing their nails and being all chummy-chummy with each other (with few exceptions of course, like Draymond Green, who would have fit perfect in the 80's-00's).

Good thing we have more than "53 seconds" of proof, eh?

You would think this is obvious, but alas...
