I'm not even sure if he's a top 4 Sixer of all time tbh. Wilt, Moses, Dr. J, won MVPs AND titles there. And Barkley has more win shares but not the rings or MVP there. Plus Embiid's gaining ground fast. :noidea:
Embiid is already greater than AI.

That makes Joel a top 7 player all time already.

:banderas:

In all seriousness though it goes Wilt, Doctor, Moses, Barkley, Iverson/Joel, Joel/Iverson.
That's fair. Bump Shaq down to the 11-20 bracket.

What happened to Pippen's "leadership" in 95, when the Bulls were a mediocre 34-31
So you admit that the entirety of Jordan's career without Pippen was mediocre, correct?

Since EVERY such season generated a worse record than 34-31?

Thanks for walking straight into a (what I thought was obvious) trap.

Lol

You could probably argue Iverson and Embiid above Charles actually. Sixers faithful love Barkley but as a pure Sixers he probably isn't above them on the list.

Speaking of all-time great Sixers Hal Greer seems to be a forgotten man: HOFER, 10x All-Star, 7-time All NBA 2nd Team, and the franchise's all-time leader in G, MIN, FG, FGA and Points, #2 in Assists and #6 in REB.

Just sayin'...
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."

"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

He was before my time but great shout-out.

When someone's only retort is to answer a question with a question you know they're beat... but when they answer a question with TWO questions you KNOW they've been T(D)KO'd!!

Greer's got a statue at Marshall U, and played in WV maybe right around the time Jerry West did too? Wonder if they played against each other in high school or college

Good deflection. Smart strategy.

Believe me, *no one* noticed because you were *incredibly* subtle with it.

Dolph Schayes, Mo Cheeks, Billy Cunningham... lots of greats played for the Sixers!

Absolutely!

Mo Cheeks is probably my favorite basketball name ever.

Trust and believe ANY astute fan who reads the drivel you wrote throughout this thread will know you're not to be taken seriously. I just happen to love discussing the Bulls (and especially MJ and Pip), so I humored myself ITT.

The real truth is Pippen doesn't sniff the HOF withOut Jordan's mentorship, leadership, and on-court coaching and direction.

You think Scottie becomes anything even remotely close to the player he eventually became if he stayed in Seattle and was mentored by the likes of Xavior McDaniel and Dale Ellis?

I remember those early-mid 80's Sixers teams with Moses, Doc, Cheeks, Andrew Toney, Jones, etc. They were stacked!

He literally played to an MVP-level the first season he didn't have access to those things.

You don't even listen to yourself sometimes do you?

Joker, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr, and Aaron Gordon have as many rings as that alleged collection of uber-legends who largely overlapped in their respective careers.

Pippen's "first year" withOut Jordan was his 7th season in the league (after spending 6 years learning and developing under the leadership of the greatest player in NBA history).

What about that fact are you not grasping?

If it was Jordan and not Pippen, then Jordan would have been able to lead players other than Pippen in a similar manner.

Instead they got *worse* with him.

I'm also sure Jordan wasn't providing on-court coaching and direction when he was retired.

Imagine claiming Pippen "made" BJ and Grant all-stars, and was equally responsible for making them Champions AND THEN expecting to be taken seriously.

:L
He wasn't *equally* responsible. He was *more* responsible in developing teammate talent.

Jordan was a better individual player, but Pippen got more talent out of his teammates than Jordan did. That's why they were co-leaders to six rings.

Under Jordan's leadership, those two never sniffed an all-star game, but in the *first* year under Pippen they did.

Pippen, without Jordan has gone all the way to the conference finals, and would have done so in 1994 if not for a bogus call.
Jordan, without Pippen, has zero playoff series wins and no winning regular seasons.
Pippen without Jordan had twice the talent of any team Jordan was on without Pippen. Don’t be such an idiot, Bush. You are smarter than that. You speak from a homer opinion on Pippen when you don’t know shit from those teams on how those players were or even looked at the game with Pippen or Jordan.
