Anyone know how I can convert a MySpace video into youtube or some other player. I have a video I'd like to preserve. Thank you.

No. Just want a video from around that time frame, and I can't seem to figure out how to convert the link.
I haven't logged on there in forever.

What media player did you use to upload it to Myspace in the first place? If it's not something you made yourself, then you can probably punch in keywords via Youtube and it might pop up.

My friend uploaded it from his phone. Probably about 2004 or so.

Try to download it and change the format so Youtube recognizes it. The only other way I can see it working if you download some screen capture program, like Hypercam.

There is no download option, that's why I'm trying to convert it though.
But have you used Hypercam? I'm not sure how to use it.

yeah...I'm still looking...so far all I have seen is how to retrieve old myspace pictures....I know when I wanted to extract some youtube clips(for my personal collection) quite awhile ago, the files were .flv format and I had to download a .flv to Mpeg4 converter and that worked great...I'm just not sure what format that video is, but now I am curious...

I'm definitely not that tech savvy, but I can't even see what file type it is. My friend obviously no longer has that phone. I just took a video of the video on my phone, but the quality sucks to begin, but I lose almost all sound. Which is the best part. It's a video of my old Mustang, FYI. and I can't hardly hear the motor in my new video.

Download and install Firefox(if you don't have it installed).

Install the Firefox addon videodownload helper https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... oadhelper/

You should see a new icon on the Firefox menubar +either gray or green yellow red)

Navigate to the MySpace page and the icon should be animated once it finds a video on the page that it can download. Next to the icon there should be a dropdown. You should be able to download the video from there.

I didn't realize it either. I just remembered the video I wanted, that was the only place it was. Looks to me like its a useless site now though after logging on once
