How is it that a young, hip. no doubt in his late 20's at the most gets a colonoscopy...That is only for us old guys...Are we a bit older than we pretend to be, or did someone get some 9 inch peen stuck up there sideways?

"Regular screening, beginning at age 45, is the key to preventing colorectal cancer and finding it early. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (Task Force) recommends that adults age 45 to 75 be screened for colorectal cancer. The Task Force recommends that adults age 76 to 85 talk to their doctor about screening."
Good news, Criley. You're almost done with colonoscopies!!!

My doctor told me once you hit 50, and comes from a place of experience. You are at an elevated risk, so you should listen , but otherwise the “advice” is just a money grab.Robceltsfan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 1:17 pmYes...on this I do. A colonoscopy is preventative care. My insurance will PAY ME to get it done.rileymartin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 1:26 pmMy doctor told me once you hit 50, and comes from a place of experience. And clearly the guidelines just changed in 2021, based on those articles. You were already 50...so...
