Piston's dream would be to find new home for Smith

Post by Buckets »

Haha nice one Joe Dumars...Only 1/2 season in

"While the dream would be to find a home for Josh Smith, he's virtually untradable given the huge contract the Pistons signed him to this summer. Greg Monroe is much easier to trade, but given the talent, the Pistons need a lot in return -- preferably a sweet-shooting swingman who allows them to move Smith over to the 4."

That's what you get for signing a player who plays a position that you already have filled.

Didn't he already make this mistake 5 years ago when he signed Ben Gordon even though he already had Richard Hamilton locked in for 4 years.

Ya he panicked over his job security in 2009...went out and signed Gordon (5 year, $55 mill) and Charlie Villanueva (5 years, $40 mill).

Did the same this the past offseason. How he still has a job or that the owner didn't nix the Smith idea...the world will never know
