i went to a couple of ozzfests and had fun, but it wasnt my glory days. I continue to go to fun events instead of reminiscing about what i did decades ago when i was into a type of music that is played out now and i cant even listen to it anymore without cringing.

You should move on. Go to a concert performed by an artist under age 40. Your life doesnt have to be over.

Today's techno hip-hop crap (or whatever it's called) is complete and utter garbage, requiring absolutely zero talent / skill.

If I had a dollar for every great band in today's era, I'd have about a dollar. Even the 'classic rock/metal' stuff is second-rate.
