Tatum, at 24 years of age, has the same number of Finals games won as "all-time great" Charles Barkley.
His window won’t ever be as big as it was 2 weeks ago. It’s all downhill from here. Not much of a slope, but it is declining.
It’s nothing to be ashamed of, there’s nothing wrong with having a top 30-40 NBA career.

Today
LTBH: Tatum will be top 30-40 all-time
Barkley is top 30-40 all time. Tatum’s window to win a chip and separate himself in the long run from that tier has narrowed and he’s staring down the likelihood of needing to bail on Boston to collude with better men than himself to win that ring.
That still isn’t doing him any favors all time legacy wise. But like I said, that’s nothing to be ashamed of should he be fortunate to be in that Barkley tier.

Tatum did kinda shit the bed in the Finals though.
So did Kobe in his first Finals. So did Lebron.
Except they had another like 15 attempts combined to remedy that. Tatum’s window has been slammed shut as other teams in the East retool. No shame in going down as a top 50-60 player all time though which looks to be his ceiling.
Mark me, Tatum’s no Lebron or Kobe so gon’get with that horseshit.

Look at you backpedaling.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.
Kobe won his first Finals. Actually he won his first three Finals.
He participated on the winning team…yes.
I guess you could say Tatum ‘participated’
He finished the postseason with the most turnovers any player has had in a single playoffs in NBA history,
and in the Finals he shot 50% from the field once and under 40% four times against Golden State -- including shooting just 31.6% on 2-point shots.

He’ll be fine as long as his nut dwellers lower their expectation. Nothing wrong with having a Top 100 all time career. Nothing at all.

Cute. Kobe shot 36.7% in his first Finals. The Lakers still won.
Shaq’s coattails were mighty big.
