Yes, they shot a lower percentage and hit 2.2 threes a game during the time span (the *worst* team in 2022 hit 10.5, the average team hit 12.4).

They literally shot worse on completely wide-open, unguarded premium threes, hitting about 18 percent as many threes as the average team in 2022, who accumulated those percentages/makes against defenses that actually made an effort to guard the line and switch effectively.

You are like a HS kid who thinks an A in "business math" should be equally weighed in GPA to an A in AP Calculus.
Newsflash: 3-point shooting is only one (1) facet of the game... and the 90's Bulls were more than capable of locking down the perimeter Defensively ESPECIALLY if they don't have to worry about getting dominated in the post / paint.

In fact, Defending today's teams would be a cakewalk for the Bulls... and I'm quite certain they would also adjust their Offense accordingly as well, given that first 3-Peat squad was loaded with "shooters".

 at the notion that these Celtics and Warriors are going to beat the juggernaut Bulls simply because they chuck 30 long-range bombs a game.

   thanks for that laugh, bush-league.

Just quoting this before you can delete it or edit.

Edit:

But speaking to defense...

The Bulls of 1991 to 1993 (the time period you mentioned) gave up 105.3 points per 100 possessions.
The Celtics and Warriors of 2022 gave up 106.9 points per 100 possessions.

So in a league with wildly superior offensive skill AND wild handicaps on defense (per your own words)...the difference in effectiveness is about a point and a half per 100/possessions (which is slightly less than the number of possessions per game usually).

The Bulls weren't even top-ranked defense of that time period (7th, 4th, and 7th ranks, 1991-1993).

Jordan and company were *very* slightly more effective guarding accountants and plumbers with the aid of brass knuckles, baseball bats, and HAND CHECKS than the Warriors/Celtics were this year guarding offensive juggernauts with hyper restrictive rules for the defense.

Pippen, Jordan and Grant would shut down the perimeter shooters with ease today because they wouldn't have to worry about getting dominated in the paint / post against GS or Boston... and the second 3-Peat Bulls (with Pip, MJ, Harp and Rodman) would absolutely suffocate the perimeter shooting of today's players.

LeCommie James and the 2016 Cavs held the 73-win Warriors to just 99.9 PPG in the Finals, and those Cavs couldn't hold the 90's Bulls jock-strap when it came to Defense.

Get real.
