West is better at playing basketball than you are at painting. Now let's move on. West is one of the best mid range shooters in the game and a locker room godsend.

He's particularly good with the long 2, maybe the best in the league based on his combination of volume and efficiency from there.

That pays huge dividends in the playoffs, since that's the shot good defenses are typically most willing to concede. If they have to respect the 20-footer, that opens up the rest of the floor for his teammeates.
