Sorry not even a little sorry lol. I don't really care about his MVP.
Donnie Baseball won MVP, backed up it by hitting .360 the next year and isn't in the hall of fame. Keith Hernandez won MVP and is the greatest fielding first baseman of all time to go along with double the career war of Posey and isn't in the hall of fame.
In my book Buster isn't even close. If you don't have close to a decade of elite, full seasons on your ledger you better have been doing some Koufaxian stuff if you want a serious hall look.
Nobody cares about first basemen. I could have gone pro as a gold glove first baseman and hit .300 with 18 HRs for 15 years. Even 1B Artman would have hit .220 with 45+ HRs (without roids).
In addition to amazing accolades like a massive amount of playoff shutouts caught, Posey gets extra points for being seriously injured in a devastating and malicious play and being able to come back from it, despite it obviously shortening his career. Also, Posey's ngWAR+ (nice guy WAR+) is off the charts, the highest in the last 45 years, a true baseball ambassador. Taking a year off to be a father and husband in a family with two newly adopted premature twins during a deadly pandemic, then coming back for a final dominant season (and a second comeback player of the year award), it doesn't get any more American than that. Did Donnie Baseball or the other irrelevant guy you listed (never heard of him in my life) ever win comeback player of the year twice??? And he's also better than Yadi.

Poor troll attempt.

That's why Yadi is still going strong and is up for a gold glove at his age and Posey is retiring.
Yadi is the hispanic Jeter in that he's so overrated but even worse, he sucks ass. His bat was worse than replacement level (<100 OPS+) in 12 of his 18 seasons. He's worse than Jason Kendall and his gold gloves mean as little as Jeter's.
While Posey is much, much better he also doesn't deserve to get in at all. The idea that having the good fortune to play for WS teams elevates a solid player to HOF status is a joke.

No I got over that, I can just see that Yadi is a mediocre player whose reputation is artificially inflated by the Cardinals cult-like white supremacist fanbase.
Yadi doesn’t belong in the HOF on looks alone. Nobody who looks like that should grace the halls of Cooperstown. Neck tatts like a fkn cartel hitman. Letting a glorified Martin Maldonado & his thuggery into the HOF only taints the prestige of our precious shrine.
