It isn't that surprising when you factor in Artie's incredible insecurities over meaningless stuff that he identifies with. He does it each and every day.AlaskaHawks wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 10:58 pm Nearly every site you look at has it way down this list. How is this really a hill you're willing to die on? I asked my buddy who's 2nd generation American from Cuba and he said it's bland and well known that traditional is bland. So weird to fight this hard over an opinion.

Artman won't die on the hill.
Artman IS the hill.
Because Artman is fat.

I actually don't dislike Cuban food. It's sixth on my list of favorite ethnic cusines
1) Italian
2) Chinese
3) Mexican
4) Japanese
5) Thai
6) Cuban tied with Salvadoran, Chilean, Brazilian, and Colombian.

Arty, I'm not really a foodie. Unless it's terrible I'll eat it. I don't like super spicy food. That's it.

Most of the chinese food in america doesnt exist in china..I'm lucky we have a real deal Chinese restaurant less than 2 Mike's from my house .they have the typical Chinese American food we all know and it's way better than the norm but they also have a huge authentic Chinese menu focused on different areas of china...I get some good stuff there.Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:51 pmelartman1973 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:45 pmReal chinese or american chinese?Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:17 pm I actually don't dislike Cuban food. Mexican food too..its not enchiladas tacos and nachos..I'm talking steaks fish etc..
And italian food us nothing like american italian..good luck finding chicken parm in italy.
Same with cuban food..I rarely have cuban sandwhiches..I go for the whole red snapper or paella or boliche or half crispy chicken or ravo encendillo.
None of which are brown or bland. Lots of idiots here on this board talking shit about a subject they know absolutely nothing about

Really good authentic dim sum is not that easy to find and is definitely not something someone who is used to the Standard American Diet (SAD) would gravitate to. I doubt Artie has ever had any.AlaskaHawks wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:55 amSo even knock-off Chinese food is better than authentic Cubano food?elartman1973 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:58 pmMost of the chinese food in america doesnt exist in china..I'm lucky we have a real deal Chinese restaurant less than 2 Mike's from my house .they have the typical Chinese American food we all know and it's way better than the norm but they also have a huge authentic Chinese menu focused on different areas of china...I get some good stuff there.Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:51 pm

Authentic Chinese is disgusting, almost as bad as Cuban food. America took the concept and made it 100x better per usual.AlaskaHawks wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:55 amSo even knock-off Chinese food is better than authentic Cubano food?elartman1973 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:58 pmMost of the chinese food in america doesnt exist in china..I'm lucky we have a real deal Chinese restaurant less than 2 Mike's from my house .they have the typical Chinese American food we all know and it's way better than the norm but they also have a huge authentic Chinese menu focused on different areas of china...I get some good stuff there.Sudanese Sensation wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:51 pm

America hasn’t been able to fix Cuban food though. It’s a lost cause.

Better than most frozen pizza , not as good as California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizza. I had a piece of genuine Sicialian from Joe's in Sherman Oaks in the freezer.. I was going to heat that up but my gf ate it. That would have been a 8.5 instead of a 6.
