Definitely reloaded. I will laugh like hell if they finish 8-8 and don't make the playoffs though. And I am still not convinced they have a QB that can get the job done. Cam is a big question mark.

I wonder how much Brady winning in Tampa is motivation for Bill and Kraft to go all in this offseason.

Reeks of desperation tactics only seen in angry ex-girlfriends who’ve been dumped for a younger, hotter chick. So she goes out and bangs every dude in sight hoping her ex-man will notice, which he does, with an earnest chuckle.

Cam will be 32 at the start of next season. Those are nice FA pickups but they better start thinking about Cam's replacement.

It isn't that Cam is old, it is that he played like shit after a hot start last year.Havlicekstealsit wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 6:05 pm Cam will be 32 at the start of next season. Those are nice FA pickups but they better start thinking about Cam's replacement.
Re: New England Patriots
The teams that are most active in FA more often than not disappoint the next season. This is because they are overspending for all these FA due to bidding wars.
Jonnu Smith is now the 3rd highest paid TE in the league just behind Kittle and Kelce. He is not in the same stratosphere as those two. He's very athletic but is a poor route runner.
Cam Newton hasn't been a good QB for like 3-4 years now. He is straight up awful now.
The Pats sustained their success by building through the draft and avoided overspending in FA.
They'll be 8-8 at best.

and why do you spend on two TEs?gaskill15 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 8:22 am The teams that are most active in FA more often than not disappoint the next season. This is because they are overspending for all these FA due to bidding wars.

Re: New England Patriots
Good question. They may be trying to bring the glory years of Gronk-Hernandez back. Except they are replacing them with 2 middle of the road TEs.
75% of these players will be cut within 2 years.

As long as BB has been there they have always got middle of the road players and made them look better than their value. Now the draft awaits

Winless!
Re: New England Patriots
I think they will address it in the draft. Those FA's are all young guys so it is not like they want to wait around for a rookie QB to develop. An early pick gets them a "more polished" rookie who can possibly take over at midseason if neededHavlicekstealsit wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 6:05 pm Cam will be 32 at the start of next season. Re: New England Patriots
So these improvements to key positions will give them the same record as last season?
