Sorry, I meant within our organization’s history of qb busts (which is extensive), I haven’t seen one descend this fast and hard.

It's nearly impossible to be released after one year of being a #1 pick. Short of murder, they'd keep you on the roster if he had any talent. You are in a 1 game knock out situation to make the playoffs and you don't know if Alex Smith can get through a game and you still got cut.
