A letter from Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe given to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday was a true bombshell, alleging that U.S. intelligence was weaponized in an effort to defeat Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

According to the letter, the CIA discovered in mid-2016 that Russia believed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton personally approved a scheme to deflect attention from her email server scandal by ginning up a narrative that the Trump campaign was collaborating with Russia to win the U.S. presidential race

This allegation sounds plausible, since it coincides with an effort — funded by the Democratic National Committee in July 2016 — by former British spy Christopher Steele to assemble a salacious and false anti-Trump dossier that was used by the FBI to justify spying on a member of the Trump campaign.

Ratcliffe’s letter said President Barack Obama and other senior officials were briefed on the reported Clinton-approved scheme to smear the Trump campaign on July 26, 2016 and that this matter was referred to the FBI on September 7, 2016

When it came time for Wolfe to go to court, he threatened to call the entire committee as witnesses, so they put pressure on the DOJ to give him a slap the wrist to avoid a trial and the discovery process.

The Senate Intel Committee is corruption junction and fully vested in covering up the coup. These facts and evidence are well known and irrefutable, but not generally reported by the press (because they are involved and heavily invested in the whole thing too.)

These things are a matter of public record. Warner’s damning texts with Adam Waldman were released. The DOJ court filings related to Wolfe specifically call out that he leaked the FISA app. (He wasn’t actually charged with that though, just with “misleading” investigators. That was the deal.)

Your own ignorance of these things doesn’t make them untrue.

The thread title is a bit inaccurate, as the truth is already out and has been for awhile. It’s just that it might as well not have ever happened if it wasn’t reported by folks like Rachel Maddow.

Almost everyone admits that Washington is hopelessly corrupt, but if it’s ignored by The NY Times then it’s case closed, nothing to see here as far as some are concerned. Corruption in DC? That’s crazy talk!

The head of security for the Senate Select Committee for Intelligence leaked the fraudulent Carter Page FISA application to reporter Ali Watkins. She worked for Buzzfeed at the time and works for The NY Times now (has worked for Politico and Huffington Post too). Wolfe wasn’t prosecuted for leaking information that was classified as Top Secret, he was prosecuted for lying about sleeping with Watkins.

These facts aren’t in dispute. You could even utilize “Google” to get up to speed on things and pick up some of it.

Gee, I wonder why those media outlets who ran hoax stories about “Trump-Russia” endlessly and breathlessly for years want no part in reporting things that contradict their now disproven narrative?
