"Playoff Rondo" is a real thing.
It better be, if the Lakers are going to win it. The guard options are pretty stinking thin. KCP has a hard time guarding a door so if his shot isn't falling, he's not useful. Green can guard, but not versatile offensively and he's long in the tooth too. Caruso is energy but a weak shooter. Smith is a corpse. The overall shooting from range from the guard corp is pretty mediocre for this day and age in the NBA. It's a glaring weakness for this era and means they really need good defensive schemes to win because over a long stretch, they just can't shoot well enough to outgun teams.
