MJ/Kobe/Lebron: Playoff success / competition
Just for shits and giggles:
Jordan
- 30 series Wins
- Beat 7 opponents with 60 or more wins (23%)
- Beat 20 opponents with 50 or more wins (66%)
- Faced / Beat only 2 opponents with 41 or fewer wins (7%)
- Never lost to a lower seed
- Beat a higher seeded team 5 times
Kobe (as #1 guy only; 2005-12)**
- 13 series Wins
- Beat 0 opponents with 60 or more wins (0%)
- Beat 10 opponents with 50 or more wins (77%)
- Faced / Beat 0 opponents with 41 or fewer wins (0%)
- Lost 1 series to a lower seed
- Never beat a higher seed team
LeBron**
- 22 series Wins
- Beat 1 opponent with 60 or more wins (5%)
- Beat 7 opponents with 50 or more wins (31%)
- Faced / Beat 6 opponents with 41 or fewer wins (27%)
- Lost 3 series to lower seeds
- Beat a higher seed team 3 times
Pretty interesting stuff... clearly Jordan faced (and beat) much tougher competition more often. Kobe's competition was pretty damn good too.
(**2012 shortened season factored in based on projecting actual winning percentage of respective opponents**)

"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."
"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

The 80's were too tough for Jordan. He had to wait for the weaker 90's before he could finally win.

Forget Jordan... Kobe's playoff competition has been vastly superior to LeBron's too.
Poor insecure LeTot.

All I know is the Miami Heat have won 3 championships, including the last two, and are going to win again this year.

Riley, you are a fucking idiot. Really you are. Kobe started with a hall of fame Shaq. LeBron left a 60 win team because he choked and no longer wanted to be the man.

You seem to be a little emotional right now. Don't blame me because Jordan couldn't hack it in the 80's.Da Stars. wrote:rileymartin wrote:just take a look at yourself in the mirror kiddo, then you will understand.Da Stars. wrote:

I guess pussy boy LeBron was unable to handle the decade of the 2000's.. And then the pussy LeBron left a 60 win team. Joined a couple all stars. One a finals MVP. Then he chokes his chicken in the 2011 finals.

Poor riley is taking a MASSIVE beating...
