Everyone reacts differently, the truth is none of us know Kobe personally, it really shouldn't affect us that much, it's almost stranger that his death affects us so much.
You don't have to know someone personally to touched at a time like this...Regardless if we didn't know him, some of us are decent human being that have hearts...❤❤❤❤

If you haven't heard, people die everyday. People that contribute more to society, I don't see your tears for them here. I'm sad for the loss of Kobe too but he was an athlete who got paid ungodly amounts to play a child's game, let's keep things in perspective. He wouldn't have given two shits if you died.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

I dunno, I think his story parallels a lot of his fans they can identify with. His dad's career aside, he took a big risk turning pro out of high school. Finds a little success, then fucks up, then builds over from just about nothing to become a winner again. Not to mention becoming a better father and entrepreneur in retirement.

It's a shock Kobe died but investing too much emotionally into a pro athlete and not enough into your own personal relationships is what's wrong with the world today. Kobe wasn't saving lives, he was shooting balls into a hoop, we just need some perspective.

You don't know that. Role models help people in many different ways.

And they were just going to a game? Why not a take a car. Helicopters are notorious death traps just like MotorCycles. Its common knowledge. Why people put themselves into these situations I'll never know

There’s nothing to “put into perspective” here. Kobe touched a lot of lives for better or worse. Yeah he was “just playing basketball” but he still meant a lot to a lot of different people. No one is trying to give the guy a national holiday over this, but people can be bummy over it without having to listen to some creep tell them that they shouldn’t “invest too much emotionally” into it.

If Kobe is your role model, you're living a deluded life in which case he is likely doing more harm than good to your life. I agree with Barkley, pro athletes for the most part shouldn't be role models.

While I would never get into a helicopter, I'm pretty positive millions more people have died in cars.
