When I first got a text that Kobe died I was confused and thought “who the hell is kobe?” My brain couldn’t comprehend that Kobe Bryant would ever die so I didn’t even think of him as a possibility at first.

I trolled the fuck out of Kobe for most of his career but I would never want to see him go out like this. Way too young, still had a lot of potential for post-retirement endeavor.

Got off the phone with my Dad who was a big Thurman Munson fan. You throw in Roy Halladay and Cory Lidle too, flying in a small plane, helicopter or whatever is not worth the risk. Life is too short.

Seeing these headlines feels almost dystopian, Kobe had so much more living to do.

Very sad day indeed, even here in my home. My family is saddened by this as we all love basketball. I cant even imagine Vanessa and her kids having to deal with the loss of their Husband/father, AND a daughter/sister.

On a side note, watching Jay Williams with his Don Lemonesque behavior right now is sickening...Had to change the channel.
