The NBA today has never been softer... glad I didn't dish out the cash to watch this game live, thinking the best player in the NBA was going to play.
Bunch of soft-ass bitches in the league today.

Oliver Miller played 36 minutes a game in 1996. You can shut up now.thedangerouskitchen wrote:Bigger, better, stronger, faster, rougher, tougher my ass:

That's the white flag. Oliver Miller couldn't play 3 minutes a game in today's NBA. He was 85 pounds overweight, but it was such a soft time, he could still play 36 minutes a game.thedangerouskitchen wrote:vcsgrizzfan wrote:Oliver Miller played 36 minutes a game in 1996. Yes because 1 player / 1 season encapsulates an entire era... dope... and regardless, any player who is 85 pounds overweight and can still manage to play 36 minutes a game against the best basketball talent in the world is clearly not soft. A 28-year old in his absolute physical prime needing "rest" 7 games into the season IS soft as a marshmallow.
Watching you try to deny this is hilarious...

TDK continuing to equate taking a "rest" day (for better performance down the road as a goal--even if you disagree with said goal) with "needing" to take a rest day is always weird.
Like if he took a step onto the court, his body would disintegrate into dust.
Like modern players aren't the most health-conscious players in history.

A guy 85 pounds overweight wouldn't have a hope of seeing an NBA court today dumb dumb. Sorry that went over your melon. Here are some more of those elite physical specimens from the ‘90s:
Bryant “Big County Reeves
John “Hot Plate” Williams
Robert “Tractor” Traylor

Players play fewer minutes overall today, they have far fewer back-back's and 3/5 nights, a longer AS break, many more 'breaks' throughout the game (with replays, coaches challenges, etc) AND they play in an era that has never been less physical... and they want/need "rest" 7 games into the season.Bush4Ever. wrote:TDK continuing to equate taking a "rest" day (for better performance down the road as a goal--even if you disagree with said goal) with "needing" to take a rest day is always weird.

Miller was on the court for 36 minutes a game, period... that makes him anything but soft. Clearly that went over your meat-head.vcsgrizzfan wrote:A guy 85 pounds overweight wouldn't have a hope of seeing an NBA court today dumb dumb. Sorry that went over your melon. Half the Bigs in the league today wouldn't make an NBA roster in the 90's, since the game was played different back then.
As usual, you have no point.

MJ played about 48.5k minutes in his career.thedangerouskitchen wrote:

Lebron has played about 56.5k minutes, with virtually all those minutes past his rookie year being at an elite level.
Damage, wear-and-tear, etc...are cumulative and additive over time. Dummy.
If player A has 17 high-level seasons, and player B has 12 high-level seasons, that's functionally equivalent to five full seasons of DNPs, by comparison to player A.

If I'm not mistaken I think the Bullets suspended Hot Plate for being so fat.

Even if that were the case you have zero pull here and could never get anyone to along with it.
