Deflection noted but not granted a legitimate response.

As a side, look how much weight Ruiz has lost.

@LNS

I honestly don't know if that's truly what's best for him. Sometimes those pudgy guys just work for whatever reason.

See Cain, Fedor, Tyson Fury.

Yeah I saw that... TBH it almost seems like he was fat shamed into dropping weight, it’s weird. He got a lot of shit for being a fat bastard online and I really think it hurt his feelings lol. But he seems like one of “those dudes” ya know? He looks like he plucks his eyebrows too.

Current Ruiz is what Artie pretends to be on a physical front.

Speaking of weight... this might be a bad sign for ole Sergey:

Canelo Alvarez is set for tomorrow night, but Sergey Kovalev has a bit more work to do.

Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KO) weighed in at 174½ for tomorrow night’s light heavyweight title fight against Kovalev (34-3-1, 29 KO), who is defending the WBO title in the bout, or at least should be. Kovalev came in at 176 initially, a pound over the limit. After taking off a necklace, he came in at 175½, and after going fully nude, he came in at 175¼.

Kovalev, 36, now has one hour to get down to 175. It shouldn’t be a problem, but we’ll know when we know.

Canelo, 29, confirmed the fight will go on either way.

“Yes, of course. I can’t just leave my people just like that,” Alvarez said through a translator. Asked how he felt physically, he said, “I feel very strong. We’ll see how my body reacts in the fight, but I believe in my physical strength and physical capacity.”

Kovalev, understandably, skipped the interview session to go work on dropping that quarter pound.

He did end up making weight though, FWIW. :D

I was talking about the viewership numbers, Flaccid Dan. People love boxing more and the data backs this up.

Worldwide (especially in Europe) boxing is more popular than the little brother combat sport MMA. Just deal with second place, Bartfag. You should be used to not measuring up by now.

Boxing has more eyeballs on the product than MMA, just like McD's serves more hamburgers than your local gourmet burger joint.

If people were weighed relative to their intelligence, skill, and value in the world (for example, 1 dumb cock-fighting Mexican with a giant hat = 10 white collar American MMA fans), the numbers would be a hell of a lot closer.

I'd need to see a meta analysis of multiple research studies to accept this hypothesis.
